I can only play late at night and as such the majority of players I play against are really far away and sometimes I disconnect if the Internet is particularly bad. During a mountaintop kill lobby the host was on the other side of the world and I disconnected a few times, this has caused me to be restricted from matchmaking.
Side note: Another reason for bad Internet is sharing with 5 people on the one WiFi network.
Is there anything I can do?
You can start by reading Bungie's article on the policy. It is pretty clear. Second, get off of Wifi. Bungie has said it is strongly not recommended to play on Wifi. There is a reason why Bungie has said that. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929
Disputing a Ban or Restriction There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans. Permanent account bans are only implemented with rigorous checking to ensure that the innocent are not punished alongside the guilty. Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason. Bungie takes actions to preserve the experience of all Destiny players, and does not take account restrictions lightly. Players are responsible for their online account and console hardware, and any actions taken in the world of Destiny, and should be careful of who they allow to access their Destiny account.
Nothing you can do but try to correct your issues and wait it out.
