Is it possible to hit Legend solo in comp?
I've been playing comp mostly solo for the past few seasons and have been getting stuck in the Fabled III/Mythic I ranks. Currently at around 3700 points and I'm starting to wonder whether it is even possible to reach Legend as a solo player despite the changes Bungie has made to comp.
Has anyone here managed to get to Legend solo? It's proving to be quite a challenge for me.

I did it on console and its the hardest thing i think this game offers... if you can do that you can do anything in this game

I'd wait for the Stadia version: at least then you can avoid the DDoSers, lagswitchers and drophackers. Peer-to-peer will always leave you vulnerable to network manipulation.

Possible? Probably if you're very good. But I'd wager you'd struggle more and more to find games the higher you go. I've only been near the top end of glory ranks once, and it was all teams of 4.

1 ReplyI know at least one Streamer who was able to do it but it was also the on PC so there is a higher skill ceiling with movement ability etc. Theoretically it is possible but most don’t want to try it. Good luck, it is going to take some luck with your teammates, hopefully you get most who understand how to play as a team with out playing right on top of each other. ( knowing when you should push which angles to watch to help out etc.) Part of me wants to try it but just got to try and not get too tilted.

And one thing I’ve noticed is that you will take longer to find matches and pretty much start seeing the politics in the game as you hit 4500 and above.and these guys I ran into were big name streamers. Can’t say who they are.

1 ReplyPossible? Yes. But Comp is a team-based gamemode and you will for sure get stacked teams after stacked teams in high comp. You only have the biggest disadvantage if you are going solo: No communication outside of team-chat. So do youself a favor and get a team... otherwise i declare you as insane ;)
