Iron Banner Quest
It -blam!-ingggggg sucksssssss!!!! You guys are idiots making people have to get grenade kills in a game where grenades CANNOT KILL!!!! You said yourselves, grenades are openers to attacks! So why make us need to get kills with them???

Got mine done and played the 5 matches with gear equipped to get the triumph and a whopping ZERO triumph points.

1 ReplyI played IB yesterday for hours! I had fun granted my titan's light is in the 500's. I dont know if they changed some things when they did maintenance, but it was fun for me. Yes I had games where our team just didnt work, but I played many games where the score was pretty even the whole time. As far as the quest is concerned I got to 100% for the melee and super relatively quickly. I am however at 41% for the grenades. It is a bit of a grind but just enjoy it.

Titan Grenades are OP af. Arc/Void will definitely get you there. One double explodes on sticky.

4 RepliesDepending on which class you use Hunter: skip grenade, fusion grenade Titan: thermite grenade, magnetic grenade, armamentarium. Warlock: any arc grenade added with top tree arc, axion bolt, and fusion grenade with exotic armor gives 2 I think it's the scouts that need work on tbh.

It takes the most time of any quest step but that makes sense because your grenade has a cool down. If you're seriously upset by a lengthy yet not difficult quest step you must not enjoy pvp that much and therefore have no reason to complete the quest. You are not entitled to an easy completion of every quest in the game. This is the only lengthy pvp quest we've gotten this season (really since the NF quest) since you -blam!-tards -blam!- and moan every time even a sliver of pvp appears in a quest. Should I start whining when there's a lengthy PvE quest? No. I have no serious interest in PvE and I realize that there are players who want lengthy and/or difficult PvE content so I let them have their fun, presuming they won't -blam!- with mine.

LOL. I said the same damn thing. How can anyone design a quest requiring kills from these POS grenades in this game?? They are all TRASH in PvP. Unless the guardian is down to 1/4 health, they will just get tickled.

3 RepliesI didn’t work on this quest step last iron banner and was scared since a lot of people on here say this was impossible. After a few games, I’m already at 50% for all three categories: super, grenade, and melee. Once again, you kids have managed to over exaggerate a problem that doesn’t exist.

1 ReplyI'll play Iron Banner, but not the quest. I find it dumb to put the armor set behind a quest. I wish we had D1 IB back where we don't get tokens just a 5 rank IB rep. I miss those days where I wanted to play IB, but not now D2 IB killed the fun for me.

Worst part? They aren't adjusting the number of kills needed until after this week's Iron Banner event ends. So we only get one week to finish up. I can't believe how much Bungie has run Iron Banner into the ground.

I know why they did this dumb shit. Its because a lot of people, myself included, have a stockpile of tokens. When Iron banner rolls around you dont even have to play it to get armor and weapons. So they decided for this "new" reskinned set, to put it behind a ridiculous and long tedious quest, which forces you to play for hours and hours.

I completed the supers and melee part fairly easily but after probably more than 40 matches since last iron banner i'm still at 86% on grenade kills. I do shoot my opponents before i try throwing a grenade at them but i usually accidentally straight up kill them with my gun or my teammates kill them before i can throw my grenade. I didn't like skip grenades before but they seem pretty good now that i followed others' suggestions and equipped Shinobu's Vow so i might finally get it done.
