Iron banner is bad
Gear way to long to get and may not be what you what. Tokens are only for weapons. No armor for ranking up only guns after each game and cheating only makes it harder

You get armor from rank up packages once you've completed that part of the quest.

49 RepliesI just want the weapon system reworked a little bit. I don't think weapons like Jotun should OHK and track and leave an area effect. I know a lot of people love that gun, but come on. That's not balanced for a special weapon. If anything, it should be a heavy weapon. Most heavy grenade launchers take two shots to secure a kill. And they don't track. Or leave behind fire pits... Fusion rifles might need to be adjusted to tone down the range. Some of those things with the right perks can be absolutely nutty. Scouts and autos need buffs. Hand cannons and pulse rifles I believe are in a pretty good place. Side arms? What are those again? It just seems like it's time to really switch things up again. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, MAKE HEAVY AMMO ONLY SPAWN ONCE PER GAME. I cannot tell you how sick I am of getting spammed with Wardcliff Coil or machine guns. Especially in IB. Just. NO.

You can get armor from turning in tokens, I've gotten boots and arms. I've been having a pretty fun time in IB, besides the striker spam and the shotty apes. I'm definitely in the minority on this, but I don't see much of an issue with IB now, besides the ability kills quest step taking wayyyy too long (especially for the grenade kills).

2 Repliesi don't have a problem with it except i had three matches with an invisible team and my gun and crosshairs were invisible so i quit. The quest it a slog and i'm not gonna do it. I can't get a game where my opponents aren't invisible or turn invisible part way through. So i quit.

3 RepliesNothing more frustrating then versing a stack of 6, with erentils masterworked, and being invisible. First day it was somewhat bearable, now everyone zig zagging through walls, erentils killing you from half way across the map, even though you aimed first, shot first but somehow they have the speed to turn around look at you aim and your dead. Or 2 people with them camping hallways or near a capture point

I just love being teamed up against 6 stacks all with a 2-3kd when mine is below 1.0 and the lag is unbelievably bad especially from the French players who I think are either cheating or are still in dial up modems

I miss being able to skip Banner for armor sets because I had an abundance of tokens from past seasons of simply playing. Now I have to complete a boring and uninspired quest that makes me too annoyed to bother afterward. Opulence Banner is worst Banner

The really frustrating thing about D2 PvP in general is that Bungie is absolutely 100% aware of the massive team imbalance and the incredible number of mercy rule games it results in. I just really wish they would put some money on the table for a team of competent PvP programmers. It’s pretty obvious that the studio lacking that right now.

Biggest issue is that the armor isn’t even transferable to the armor 2.0 system. So really, we’re just grinding for shaders that come from the triumph of getting all the armor

It’s completely unplayable, 10 out of my 12 matches tonight were complete blowout against six stacks of unbroken sweating their -blam!-ing balls off with erintil, not forgotten, and ape -blam!-. I don’t think I’ll ever play ib again, who wants to sweat their balls of every single -blam!-ing match. Try different weapons?? Go -blam!- yourself

3 RepliesIron Banner is literally "Mercy: The Playlist". I swear to every god ever created that I've been Mercy ruled out of 20+ games TODAY alone. Like you can't do anything. You either spawn into a game that's already a 0-40, or you get swamped and shut out in 20 seconds flat.

17 RepliesIron One-Eyed Mask? I swear to God I got marked for vengeance x2 or times x3 on multiple occasions. Is that literally the only exotic any titan ever uses? I mean it’s not like there are mounds of others that exist so why should vengeance x3 ever be a thing? Isn’t that a testament to how crutch an exotic can become?

Armor is added to loot pool after every quest step armor reward, so that you can hunt good rolls. Tokens drop armor once you unlock it to the loot pool.

3 RepliesQuest is literally designed for people who have nothing to do all day, everyday. If anything, Bungie should take this Iron Banner quest as a lesson to never be replicated.

4 RepliesDon't agree. I'm loving the Iron Banner, as usual. My performance goes way up, so it really helps me knock out some quests. Quickplay is just unplayable right now. I'll take the IB any day of the week.

It’s just another example of if it’s not broke then don’t fix it. Iron banner was fine in d1 and in my opinion much better than how it’s done in d2. Same with the factions and trials. But bungie wanted to innovate where no innovation was needed to now we have this mess of an iron banner that almost nobody I ask likes, factions which were so bad that bungie took them out of the game, and trials which was removed so it could be innovated some more since that worked so well last time bungie tried it.
