Crucible is widely regarded as an unbalanced, unenjoyable mess. If you're not going to fix it, STOP MAKING IT A QUEST REQUIREMENT
Everything that needs to be said about the atrocity that is Crucible has been said many times before, but it falls on deaf ears.
My point is simply: [b]If Bungie doesn't care about Crucible and is just going to pretend it doesn't exist, then stop making it a quest requirement so I can do the same. [/b]

2 RepliesThe problem is it will never be balanced as there are way to many variables such as the weapon and armour perks then there's weapons archetypes and also the subclasses and the fact that bungie insists on using a shitty hybrid peer to peer connection. While i agree the crucible needs a semblance of balance its just not going to be possible

Dedicated servers, SBMM and better net-code will make crucible a better place. I play crucible for 90% of my time when I’m playing this game. I have a hate-love relationship with it at the moment.

Out of every 5 matches I go to, at least 2 players are cheating in at least 4 of the 5 matches. External hardware, glitches, lag switching, network manipulation, DDOSing, other hacks and game exploits. I am not a bad player. I have really good internet connection. In my opinion, Bungie doesn’t care about the morale in PvP since they’ve allowed this behavior to fester. I’ve been constantly reporting other players but I don’t think it’s actually going to lead to anything. I have lost confidence that Bungie gives a ****.

You also better hope when you’re on a streak bungie don’t rig you to fail by putting you with sweaty 4 mans. It should be you continue on against players of the same skill level.

It wasn't so bad when it was 4v4 at the start of D2, but as soon as it was made 6v6 it became so sweaty and toxic. Hunters constantly jumping over my head to shotgun me: yes we get it, you like to play the easiest class in pvp and drip like a leaky tap. I have to play as a Hunter in pvp if I want to even compete with the sweats. The majority of maps in this game were designed for 4v4 so having 12 players in a match is a total mess. Constantly going against stacks and people "better", I mean sweatier than me doesn't help at all. It sucks that the solstice armour requires you to do stuff in crucible like kill guardians of generate orbs; you can do it in Gambit but obviously the guardian killing will be harder because there's a lot less guardians to kill (have to wait for an invasion).

Its not just unbalanced the game modes are shit too especially -blam!-ing control! That shit should not be in comp -blam!-ing stupid if people camp they can win bs as -blam!-.

Things I hate about the Crucible: 1. LAG. It gets so bad that it's unplayable. 2. P2P networks suck. Players want to talk about loot balance, but this is worse. The host always has the biggest advantage. 3. Subpar graphics. With the confetti graphics (console) in my face, I can barely see what's going on at times. 4. Poorly marked enemies. I've gotten taken out many times simply for the fact that I can't see where the enemy is. 5. Ridiculously bad aim assist. I'll be ready to finish off a player, but then my aim assist will take me off in another direction to chase a different guardian that's FARTHER AWAY or even BEHIND the player. I'll bring my snapshot sniper rifle and aim comes up well to the left/right of the guardian. 6. Inconsistent to the max. Sometimes the guns work great, other times they don't. Sometimes they aim correctly, other times they don't. It's like a box of stale chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. Probably has to do with #1 and #5. 7. The maps suck. I mean they suck. Same old garbage on every one. A million obstacles, big structures taking up all the space, uneven terrain to trip up your sloth like movement, maze like buildings, predictable bottlenecks, etc. For god sake, no more Vex maps. The worst. 8. Awkward clunky movement. I hate the way guardians move. Why do I always feel like a pinball? You bounce off structures and other players like it's always zero gravity. You can't even traverse a simple step up without over jumping. 9. World's slowest menus. God forbid you want to change your load out during a Crucible map. LOL. On the console it takes a full 5 seconds just to bring it up. 10. No map voting. CoD has had this for years. 11. Lack of choices. I shouldn't have to hope the mode I want to play will come up. I should be able to choose. 12. Spawn points. Uh, yeah, this will suck the fun out of a match faster than vacuum. 13. Field of Vision. Yeah, it's pretty awful on PS4 and you can't adjust it. You just can't see enough of your surroundings when you need it the most. A guy can be right next to you and you can't see him. Try punching another player and chances are they disappear from your view unless you move just right. This being said, I seem to get a lot better experience in the Iron Banner. Less lag, better matchmaking, etc.

No one can do anything about that though. In the mean time, get crucible requirements out of quest lines; except the quests for PvP pinnacle weapons of course.

Honestly I don't mind PVP as part of a quest requirement... [b][u]BUT[/u][/b], it shouldn't be INSANE! Some of these quests lately (hello Mountaintop, I'm looking at you) are just ABSURD! Would have been fine with just the first item of GL kills... but the doubles and Calc Trajectories? Yeah, f'k that nonsense!
