Call this a rant or whatever anyone wants but I feel this needs to be said. I don't run the raids in D2 as many don't want to for quite a few reasons, but the main reason I don't run the raids is because they have no incentive for me like D1 actually did that I have over 300 completions, its not much compared to some that ran the raids in D1 but enough to know what I liked about the raids and disliked.
This not about whether anyone thinks the raids in D1 are better than D2 vice-versa. This is about how limited this entire game is and how Bungie is constantly looking for ways to put way more limits in this game not allowing gamers to have more freedom to play how they would like to play. In spite of what anyone says the way this game is being designed, it's like the game is struggling to have that "variety" Bungie is pretending this game has that variety in just about in every aspect of it.
How can anyone really make them meaningful choices if everything is being over controlled on what you can or can't use in the game? Think about this for a moment, ever mod in this entire game is designed to be set for a specific item. So you can have 20 mods on you but if none of them are assigned to the one gear piece you want to use the mods on your character are useless until you can use them on whatever piece they are assigned to or you grind and get what you want and even then that Is RNG that that can take a while. Then there is the gunsmith that you have to wait until the Gunsmith rotation comes around that is also RNG.
Is there really any reason to put so many limitations in this game? I mean what happened to allowing gamers to have more freedom to feel they can play how they want to that usually games are designed for? because as of right now and for some time to come, the raid mods are literally useless that they do not benefit me or anyone that doesn't run the raid at all.
Edit: This wasn't just about the raids or if they work in other activities. Thank you to those that actually read what I was referring to and made a respectful reply.
Edit: 1. I have noticed how a lot of gamers are set on one thing and didn't even bother to look at the overall on what was being said. It's part of why a lot of posts get shut down because too many gamers have their mindset or try to make it about the OP if they don't like what is being said on a lot of posts even though the post has nothing to do with anyone personally.
This is the difference between me and a lot of gamers on here and why it's easy for me to look beyond what's right in front of my eyes. It's a shame how only some people on this forum actually look to see what else there is or what's actually being said. Most of the replies here were gamers only focused on one thing and that is not a good thing at all.
