Buff the Tarrabah

I know everyone who has it will unanimously agree: the Tarrabah is terrible. It’s a horrible exotic that performs equally if not worse to some legendaries, mainly Recluse. And especially as a raid exotic, feels very underwhelming. I believe it could be buffed by making it so kills extend Ravenous Beast instead of just hits, as well as kills charging it, making kills most efficient of progress toward the buff. Also, keep your progress on Ravenous Beast when you swap weapons. Maybe even make it so you earn ravenous beast energy from damage taken while the weapon is stowed, like Riskrunner. I know not many people have the gun yet so they can’t really sympathize, but in a few weeks when most players have the weapon and more people are complaining, this issue may finally be recognized and fixed by Bungie.

    I think the problem is Recluse. The Recluse submachine gun needs a Nerf Asap. You have no idea how easy it is to wipe a pvp team with it and not give a care. Maybe you do because it's op. Recluse and mountaintop needs to be reworked. You know there is Something wrong when 2 pinacle PVP weapons are killing it in raids. I know because I use that set up. It makes ad clearing and Major clearing easier.

    • It’s not even that bad, it’s actually pretty good when you’re using it properly. The only thing holding it back is how the buff’s progress resets when you’re not holding tarrabah.

            • Even if it were on par with Recluse, it doesn't make orbs. And it takes the exotic slot, so I'll pass.

            • I made a post about this last week. It was pretty long, so I'll sum up my proposed changes quickly: 1.) Tarrabah doesn't lose any charge when stowed--this is obviously the biggest thing holding it back, as it restricts you from using any other weapon, and Tarrabah has been proved to be worse than any other Legendary 750 rpm smg, which makes this doubly bad 2.) Tarrabah should get the damage bonus provided by the Aggresive Frame trait on other 750 rpm legendaries...this would keep it in line with the SMG's in its archetype while the perk isn't active 3.) Causing damage and getting kills with other weapons and abilities should charge Tarrabah while stowed, but the charge would be 30% less when damage/kills come from abilities or weapons outside of Tarrabah. The base charging rate while using Tarrabah would remain the same as it is currently. 4.) Taking damage while either A.) Tarrabah is stowed, or B.) the user is in a super, would not charge Tarrabah. However, taking damage while wielding Tarrabah would not only charge it, but the amount of charge received from taking damage increases as health gets lower. For instance: if you're at full health and lose 5% of your health, it might put a 2% charge on Tarrabah, but if you're at 10% health and take a 5% hit, it would add a 25-30% charge. This turns Tarrabah into the Berserker type of weapon that its meant to be--you could get backed into a corner and be near death, but then have a full charge and "Unlease the Beast" to go berserk and fight your way out. This wouldn't be broken in PvP either, as you need to go through the whole reload animation to activate the perk, which would leave plenty of time to kill you. Charge from damage occurring while user has an overshield would be at a flat rate, equal to the rate of a full health user. 5.) This one's just for fun--It'd be cool if activating Ravenous Beast gave a small knockback effect to everything within 5-7 feet of the user, in a way similar to the Black-Panther suit. The knockback would only do a tiny amount of damage, but would create space to fend off a wave of ads. It'd occur right at the end of the reload animation and would just be fun to use xD

            • In all situations, i rather use Recluse. Give Tarrabah buff, dont lose buff when stoved, increased% damage when ravenous beast is charged but not activated.

                I agree, this gun blows hardcore ass. It's easily the worst raid exotic ever made. I'd rather use pre-buffed nechrocasm. It needs buffs in more ways than one.

                It'll be buffed when recluse is nerfed, don't worry. Also in a few weeks when most have the weapon? Uh, sure.

                • It should only lose 25%-50% of it's charge when stowed.

                  • It’s definitely not terrible, but it does need to be improved, like the main perk should not disappear when you stow it.

                      Rounds fired from this weapon have a chance to ignite enemies on fire. There, I fixed it. It's 100x better now.

                      • Is this shit legit? Tarrabah is an awesome exotic. And saying it performs as well.as Recluse is saying a lot. Recluse is better than most exotics.
