Add leviathan raid/lair weapons, armor, and catalysts to menagerie chest
With the July 9th patch fixing the menagerie chest farm I think bungie should add leviathan raid & raid lair items and catalysts to the heroic menagerie chest.
The reason I say this I because heroic really isn't very rewarding for the amount of time to complete. I mean 25-40 minutes to complete 1 run and recieving 1-2 legendarys isn't really worth it especially since once you collect the ship and swords there isn't a reason to run heroic.
By adding a random raid/lair item to say your 1st chest of the week would give people a chance to round out their collections and receive non-raid catalysts. I.E. telesto, skyburners, and sleeper. And give people a reason to run heroic menagerie each week. Not too mention virtual no one runs the year 1 raids and the people who are just rounding out collections.

I know some people feel the mentioned catalyst should drop only in the raid, but look at the faction catalysts of Y1 they were recently added to strikes and it took a lot of grinding for people like me who did get all 3.

Here’s my idea and it runs in a similar vain to the Izanagi’s Burden Catalyst. Stick them behind requirements within the Heroic menagerie. Skyburner’s Oath - Complete Heroic Menagerie with Hasapiko as the boss. - Complete The Gauntlet or The Arcborne with time left on the clock. - Have Skyburner’s Oath Equipped. Telesto - Complete Heroic Menagerie with Pagouri as the boss. - Complete The Crystals or The Mockery with time left on the clock. - Have Telesto Equipped. Sleeper Simulant - Complete Heroic Menagerie with Arunak as the boss. - Complete The Riposte or The Hunted with time left on the clock. - Have Sleeper Similant Equipped.

The exotic catalysts should only be tied to the activity of said activity if the only place you can get that weapon. Raid exotic catalyst should be available in raid. The other ones should be available everywhere as a random drop. That's it though. The raid armor and weapons need to stay in the raid.

6 RepliesRaid rewards should stay in the raids. Go do a raid if you want the armor, guns, and catalyst. If you want better rewards for an activity then ask bungie for new content instead of trying to get easy raid loot. You may of not put in the time to do raids, but a lot of people have. Don't ask to make the activity useless for those who actually put in the effort to raid.

I think it would make the menagerie a lot more relevant and also give an alternative to long raids that no one really play. The same idea was basically put into place with the seed of light at the beginning of forsaken, I don't see why this wouldn't be doable.
