TL;DR
On September 17, 2019:
- All Eververse armor (new and armor you’ve already acquired!) is being converted into Universal Ornaments
- Universal Ornaments can be attached to any newly acquired Legendary armor
- Bright Dust is going to come from doing bounties, not dismantling things you spent money on
- Eververse items can now be pulled from your Collections with Glimmer/Legendary Shards instead of Bright Dust
Before September 17, 2019:
- Dismantle all of your unused Eververse items to maximize your Bright Dust reserves

1 Replytbh I rather dismantle for legendary shards

2 RepliesSo . . . I assume they are going to expand inventory space - vault, shaders, etc. - to prevent people from having to spend REAL MONEY just to buy back the things they didn't have room to store, right? Right? No? Well, that's the end of any illusion that the cash grab was because of Activision. Even Acto didn't get this greedy. Want any of the new stuff? Spend. Want your old stuff back? Spend. And sure, Bungo will tell you it's because the game is free now, but was it free for you? Is the new DLC free for you? In other words, meet the new boss . . . same as the old boss. This is just Activision, part 2.

12 RepliesNo offense cozmo, but you really suck at the game. I’m watching the live stream and are you trying to suck at the game?

6 RepliesLOL... Bright Dust Nerf So Bungie... Does this mean that we all can be expecting an increase in the number of Eververse Bounties so that we can aquire more Bright Dust so we can actually buy stuff from Eververse since you are taking away one of the main ways to aquire Bright Dust? Or maybe we could get more Bright Dust by completing said Eververse Bounties? Also, could players even gain small amounts of Bright Dust through the completion of regular world activities; the same way we gain Glimmer and Resourses used for Infusion. Finally, could we please see an increase in the amount of resources gained by completing world activities so we can infuse more often and have incentive to actually do the world activities?? I used to enjoy doing things like patrols and public events with my fireteam, but since you only get a tiny amount of Glimmer and a tiny amount of the world's Resourses, we kind of just, well... took to Crucible / Gambit / Strikes and prayed we got a good-looking Prime Engram lol. Looking forward to Shadowkeep! Thanks!!! 😁

2 RepliesQuestion. Do bright engrams still drop gift of bright dust?
-
10 RepliesEdited by BegFourMercy: 6/20/2019 5:51:38 PMAnd how the heck am I supposed to know what an eververse item is? Sounds like a way to limit dust and force people to buy silver.

Still waiting for a "You're Breathtaking" and a Ricardo emote. 🤔

1 ReplyDon't let these changes distract you from the fact that Mr. Krabs sold Spongebob's souls for 62 cents.

2 RepliesA question to put my mind at ease: could we dismantle any Eververse armor sitting in our vault right now and still have access to it as ornaments come season of the undying? I know we can do that with ghosts and sparrows and such, but I just want to be absolutely sure so I don’t shoot myself in the foot to early.
-
You guys should make an exotic called disappointment. It can shoot backwards and kill ourselves. This way we can let out a big sigh of disappointment.
-
Am I the only person that doesn’t care about eververse. I’ll be honest there’s some stuff in season 7 that I would love to have but I know better then to spend money on useless shit.

Ornaments can be attached to any newly acquired Legendary armor
Knowing Bungie this can only mean one thing: Players of the free2play version or without the current DLC will not be able to use this feature as the only armor supporting this will be paywalled behind Shadowkeep. So basically the transmog feature will be Bungie's unique selling point for Shadowkeep. What it probably also means, with Eververse items basically turning into one time unlocks, is that the prices for Eververse items will be significantly increased. And the most interesting part is actually that this only applies to Eververse armor. So you can't make your raid chest look like the Iron Banner chest. They've seriously managed to turn one of the most requested features for this game into yet another push towards their cash shop. Consider me not surprised.

2 RepliesSo does that mean my hunter's dragonfly chest piece is going to disappear, among other armors I had collected and used for everyday gear? The armor pieces I kept that had perfect rolls for what I played are going to become nothing and I have to repurchase them as ornaments for replacement gear that I dont currently have? I guess I've already left this game, but I check these updates for hope that something big will bring me back. I want to feel optimistic for your effort Bungie, but this doesn't sound very positive for someone like me.
-
3 RepliesHey does anyone know if you will be able to transmog ANY armor in the game or is it ONLY eververse armor? I am asking cause I wanted to wear my LEVEL 1 warlock gear...for personal reasons? Anyone know if we can do this?
-
Cozmo, why is the eververse armor the best looking in the game? Please can you tell the devs to give more love to actual activities? Thanks
-
I realized D1 was soo perfect.
-
Quick question, the full article mentions every Eververse item except for Ships. Can you clarify that those are included with the changes to reacquiring them come fall?
-
2 RepliesThere's a catch, there's always a catch.
-
1 ReplyWill you be getting rid of engrams as well? I don't know how many people exploit this system in the strangely specific scenario that you used, but as someone who hasn't, the changes come across as being penalized. And thanks for locking the engrams to only year one. Great way to keep people from being able to avoid spending money on the new stuff.
-
I noticed there wasn’t any Seasonal event armors in the picture (The Dawning, Festival of The Lost etc.). Before dismantling those will you confirm they are included? Be a shame to shard those and not be able to use them as ornaments.
-
-
Will we be able to get the year 1 things in September? For example, due to RNG or something, I wasn't able to get the full Warmind eververse set, and it was one of my favorites. Will there be a way to get the missing pieces later on?
-
3 RepliesRead carefully, your current max light Tess armour will be obsolete with the coming changes to their perk system, meaning you'll have the new ornaments but will have to grind for this falls armour to apply it, and that means any of you who have masterworked will be SoL. Luke clearly said ORNAMENTS, not armour.
-
If Tess got lost in the infinite forest, would anyone go looking for her?
