Matchmaking for Nightfalls!!!
Can we please get matchmaking for Nightfalls? Why is this still a thing?

Personally, I like it the way it is. It’s great being able to work on various kills without teammates taking your kills.

1 ReplyI would like optional matchmaking for NF too. As a solo player, I’ve spent time recruiting guardians at the tower for a NF run, but it can be tedious. OPTIONAL matchmaking would be great.

3 RepliesGive it optional matchmaking. Matchmaking for Nightfalls should only be for trying to get the Nightfall done, and nothing else. The score card and 100K points for the secondary powerful reward will remain as is with no matchmaking.

8 RepliesTo the people complaining about matchmaking: Why? What’s the purpose of whining about a 540 power strike? If you aren’t 540 then why are you even playing year 2? If you have thumbs and can utilize your characters abilities then you won’t die. It’s not even hard. No modifications or cards makes it 540. If u want to do 100k then make an LFG, it takes 14 seconds to find a group, but the regular completion is just like doing a strike from the menu. Quit downgrading your ability and try

Dude, just equip a weapon that melts now like Prospector or 1k, put on solar or arc or void singe depending on your weapon of choice, heavyweight and lower the score to the lowest, it's what I do to farm weapons easily like Wardens Law or my favourite: The Long Goodbye, it's very easy to do it on your own. Yeah matchmaking would be neat but we really don't need it. Or just hop on lfg? That's a good way as well even though I don't use it at all much since I solo nightfalls all the time or I need one or two more people for a raid

4 RepliesWithin the time you spent complaining about lack of matchmaking, you could have soloed the NF yourself. Honestly, it's not difficult enough to warrant a matchmaking system.

I think the issue is the stupid card system, how would it work with everyone doing different modifiers? They should ditch the card, bring back the three rotating modifiers including burns, not singes. Also bump up the power level and include optional matchmaking.

I think they should do normal MM for the nightfall, this disables the modifiers and it's just a nightfall strike for the one powerful. Then from there you might meet a few people who want to run the 100k and go from there, make some friends, get rewards, win.

1 ReplyGuided games is there. Bungie tried to add optional matchmaking through guided games, nobody used it. They learned to not waste development time

I think everything should have "optional" matchmaking, except raids. Patrols should be able to load in a team of 6. We should access forges from orbit. And so many other things... But, Bungie is content with low-key, minimal-effort, mediocrity.

13 RepliesIf Nightfalls had the option of matchmaking. Wonderfull. Won't happen. Bungie have the principle of forcing fireteams down our throats and there is a vocal minority on these forums to defend it. [u] Example[/u] Escalation Protocol is a public event which everyone can take part in. However the only way to get the reward chest at the end is to farm Nightfalls for Rasputin Key Fragments which is fireteam only. As a solo player you can contribute to the activity but you won't be rewarded for it.
