It seems unfair that Titans and warlocks get an abysmal elevator, even with catapult or strafe- it is still remarkably predictable.
Hunters on the other hand get an instant gtfo of any situation jump in a fraction of a second by spamming x. Seems unbalanced, and if u cant beat them join them. Maybe thats why 70 percent of comp are hunters

I personally prefer the warlock jump over the ones for the other classes
-
I mean, I’m not gonna complain about a better warlock glide/jump/whatever… but it’s also my favorite in the game so idk if I personally agree
-
Idk about Titan jumps but warlock jumps are so good in many situations, i can’t tell you how many times I hovered over players and groups of players being confused as hell where I’m at then I drop down and give them a shotgun or gernade sneak like attack, even with supers too, you can literally jump out then jump back in dodging the super

4 RepliesWarlock jump is the best in the game if you know how to use it.

6 RepliesI Disagree, hunter has fast ups, but no real horizontal coverage compared to titan and warlock. It also can easily force you into a very visible position for an unadjustably long time unlike glide and lift for warlock and Titan respectively. I think rn they’re balanced well, with warlock having the most impactful jump for low jump maneuvers and longest air time (also most mobile in air with strafe glide), Titan being able to hover just over the floor faster than sprint (strafe glide) and keep the highest elevation the longest with high lift (extreme floofing), and hunter having the least agility but fastest vertical climb with the fastest left/right directional change with strafe jump as well as reasonable floofs with triple jump. Floofing is staying at an elevation just over an entry way to bait an eager shotgunner or stall for shield/ability recovery or reloads. All classes are good at it, though Titan I would say is the most comfortable most often, since low ceilings do not hinder the air time (warlock floofing time is crippled indoors by lower ceilings, and hunters as well, to a much lesser degree). While I would accept a buff to Titan and warlock jumps in terms of speed of ascent or horizontal thrust/maneuverability, I think it is largely unnecessary. If there was a buff this way, I would say hunter should receive a downward dodge while airborne, to return to the ground faster if necessary, in order to maintain balance.

1 ReplyJumps and jumping physics need some work imo, Hunters can dodge, jump like spidey man and go invis, Warlocks at the very least can blink, Titans make good meat shields :(

Give hunters blink instead of dodge and we’ll talk. Dodge is useless. -
Well... I wouldn't mind more speed and strafe 🤔

2 RepliesEdited by Billahzz: 6/12/2019 3:59:03 AM...how is a hunter jump unpredictable? It goes up.. **comparitively**
-
Just need to bring back twilight garrison and titans fixed and warlock I think are fine where they are if you burst your jump correctly it's effective
-
1 ReplyWell being able to get out of sticky situations in a pinch is kind of a hunter specialty
-
5 RepliesI mainly play Titan and the jump ,if you know how to use it ,is fantastic and all round my favourite I play Warlock and Hunter occasionally and am not as good with them so can’t really speak for them (rather than being one of those people who “play it once : immediately call it bad for being different” which goes around a lot when talking about jumps)

13 RepliesHave you ever tried cancelling your lift? Ya know, to prevent floating like a dangling treat for onlookers. Sidenote: Icarus Dash is severely underappreciated. Take it from a D1 Titan main who only ran Twilight.
-
10 RepliesClearly you don't know how to use their jumps in crucible. You can actually do aerial build with these two classes
-
2 RepliesOk fine. Give us a one-hit melee then

6 RepliesEdited by DiZ: 6/12/2019 4:46:25 AMEh, ya take what ya can. There are a few paragraphs down below explaining the differences between the classes' jumps a bit more, and a summary at the botton.
To my understanding, Hunter jump(especially with Stomps) is the best for verticality and overall gunplay and evasion. Though because of that, it's not as fast(unless head-smashing or always jumping to higher spots) compared to Warlock or Titan gliding/lifting. Though I will admit, most players don't really know how to properly control their glide(Focused Burst) or lift(Strafe on console/controller, Catapult on PC/scrollwheel). But if you're good enough, Warlock's actually the fastest class horizontally on console(at least with Transversives, and maybe now Astrocyte), with Titan close behind. Although unlike the Hunter jumps, you're weapon is stowed for the entire activation of your jump(unless playing top Dawnblade or using Lion Rampants). Whereas with Hunter, you jump, your weapon readies itself briefly, and then you can fire for the whole of that movement since that quick boost is the only activation. So because of that, you can't just always move as fast as possible with your jump on Warlock/Titan, otherwise you're weapon probably won't be ready in-time. You have to deactivate it before engaging, which isn't much of a hassle when simply aping or trying to sponge shots, but in other scenarios, it'll lead to your death more often than not.
TL;DR Hunter jump is best for actual use in an engagement(at any point), whereas Warlock and Titan jump is best for covering ground(good for getting to angles, chokepoints, etc. faster). Take advantage of those differences as best you can.

Astrocite verse finally gives warlocks a gtfo ability. It sucks how it takes an exotic to give warlocks a fighting chance but whatever. Idk about titans, they seem to use shoulder charge to escape and move around the field faster than any other class

Edited by Athos SD: 6/12/2019 8:43:08 AMGood job. Your gonna piss off all the try hards with this post. 😂.

3 RepliesI use to think all this was just people venting on the forums after frustrating crucible games. Then I went for the 2500 iron burden kills and I agree with this completely. In the hands of skilled players, the hunter jump is just way too good and warlocks and Titans can not compete at all.
-
4 RepliesHunter main here... I want D1 skating back, twilight garrison back, a buff to warlock movement as a whole and Icarus dash timer reduced to 2.5 seconds...
-
24 RepliesI agree 100%. I think this change needs to happen to shift the entire game for the better. Hunter jump is the single best ability in the entire game and shouldn't be restricted to one class. It's just too advantageous.
-
1 Replyit's unfair that warlocks can use an exotic where they can just sit in the air , not come down , or come down in the blink of an eye . And warlocks can blink titans have a melee that lets them rush across the screen when they are in the air your idea of balance is nerf hunters even though the other classes have allot going for them.
-
7 RepliesYeah trade off is shit exotics. May I list few that actually help in pvp? 1. Wormhusk crown 2. Stompies Maybe 3 if you wanna count the spec blade vest. Our newest item to the collection? We apply our weak smoke to you when we melee and it gives us true sight for one second. Ooo ground breaking! Oh also, it takes the melee charge too. Hunters may a good jump, but other classes have excellent exotics that help with their neutral game(means non-super state) You all get a jumpy buff I require a better exotic selection. Perhaps a 1-eyed mask for me hmmmm.

Wait till shotgun blink becomes the new thing people -blam!- about. Ull change ur tone real quick lmao

I really hope you're joking .
