Petition to change Magnificent Howl to original form
The Luna/NF nerf to 150 is fine. The guns were too dominant at the 180 rpm.
But these are PINNACLE WEAPONS. The NF is the absolute pinnacle weapon. Neither feel special any longer.
There was no reason to alter mag howl. I can two tap with a spare rations, why can’t I two tap with a THE ABSOLUTE PINNACLE weapon which has an even harder perk to proc - successive kills in a specific pattern.
Bungie, you need to learn from mistakes with nerfs (scour rifles, nova warp ... the list goes on).
Nerf sequentially, not directly to the ground.

1 ReplyThe problem was Lunas Howl being very common as it is relatively easy to get. Reverting the changes on Not Forgotten would be better imo because that is THE pinnacle weapon and is much harder to get, therefore being less common in the crucible.

150 change was needed Mag howl proccing only on body shots makes no sense 150s already 3 tap, you should be aiming for headshots, not have to hit 2 crits then focus on body shots instead

1 ReplyThe reasoning behind the change for Magnificent Howl I can't agree with. It was changed to prevent players from activating the perk on one character then switching targets and taking down a separate player with two shots rather than three. That logic would apply if the weapon remained in the 180rpm damage category, but 150rpm hand cannons are capable of having damage bonuses that allow two-precision hit kills in the Crucible, not to mention the LH/NF variation requires more setup and attention than Kill-Clip. Yes, Magnificent Howl should be reverted. It doesn't disproportionately alter the TTK or perseptive-TTK in any noticeable way, and is mostly felt in PvE scenarios.

1 ReplyPinnacle doesn't necessarily need to equate to fastest TTK. Consistency counts IMO, and these guns are pretty forgiving considering their bullet magnetism and Mag Howl.
