I really like the changes to earning the crucible pinnacle weapon in season 7. Hopefully it will get more players into the comp playlist with less stress for them over their teams performance. I know it won’t eliminate all the toxicity, it it will help for sure.

2 RepliesEdited by Ahbrahkzhus: 6/1/2019 2:03:52 AMSo where is this info for the pinnical weapons. Seems they made things easier just by reading the comments. Edit: Nevermind didn't scroll over and see new tab.

9 RepliesI think people need to re-read the TWAB about how getting Revoker works. ---- And they also need to chill out; it's just another weapon. If they aren't even going to be in PvP after getting it, why does it matter? The other point to consider is that they still have to earn 3500 glory points in one season. Meaning that they'll have to still play comp, still win matches, and then keep playing even after losing. Unless you decide to keep tanking your rank, you're gonna reach a point where you're staying around the same glory constantly. As an average PvP player, I think hovered around the 2200 mark (to be fair, I *did* stop playing after getting Luna's Howl this season). It's bringing more people into the competitive game mode and if they're as bad as you all think, then that just means easy wins for you.

1 ReplyEdited by fuhd: 6/2/2019 1:39:37 PMIt is good they've made the weapons more obtainable. Only problem is, more people are going to complain when that weapon gets bungie'd..... I mean nerfed ;)
-
2 RepliesAgreed. It's not a change I would have thought of, but I approve heartily. Anything that puts a dent in paid recoveries and carries and benefits a solo pvper is a thumbs up from me.

5 RepliesWanna-be elitists wont be happy.

16 RepliesEdited by TwigTwig: 6/1/2019 4:54:32 PMIt's basically removed competitive from the game. If you're a terrible player, you can lose 60 games in a row, win 1, and still make progress. You no longer have to play competitively to succeed in competitive. There are absolutely no incentives beyond that to play. All this will do is drive the hardcore comp players away, and replace them with less invested players for a month or two before they get the rewards and also quit. We haven't had a Legend rank reward since NF. Now there's not even a fabled reward. Should have just made it a quickplay gun and removed comp from the game instead of this charade.
-
3 RepliesFrankly it's a good idea that they do it for one sniper but the rest of the weapons like lunas an NF or recluse etc I think they stand above and players should put in the grind that comp players did if they truly want those weapons. Don't pander to the casuals cuz thats just it they are casual. As soon as they get them weapons they will just leave the game. Skill should be rewarded, plain and simple.
-
8 RepliesAt this point if bungo was smart they would do this for all pinnacle weapons.
-
1 ReplyA good change for sure. It will take me more time but I am glad to see that they are dialing back the power of pinnacle weapons but making them easier to get.
-
5 RepliesI'm glad they're doing it. I wouldn't mind if they reworked the older PvP pinnacle weapons the same way. Except for Not Forgotten. I believe that should stay a Legend only reward. I don't care how many people have the same gun. I just want to ensure as many people have them as possible before one portion of the community rallies for nerfing anything and everything. Though I do agree at some point, certain weapons do deserve to be dedicated to the truly dedicated.

1 ReplyMight be the only pvp Pinnicle weapon i'll go for but only because i like the look of it.Really wish it was an auto rifle though,Don't know why pvp has no auto rifle in the loot pool at all.
-
3 RepliesSo wait you still lose glory if you lose hows that make any progress.
-
7 RepliesDon’t worry oni, I’ll pick this one back up for you. Noticed it went to the abyss and I want you to think your opinion matters.
-
3 RepliesIt'll definitely get more people playing Comp. I wasn't planning on playing Comp, or really PvP anymore, but I'll play to get the Revoker.
-
1 ReplyFree pinnacle weapon means that competitive isnt competitive. Bungie logic.
-
1 ReplyEdited by SpamTheDamage: 5/31/2019 10:26:53 PMDefinitely a solid change. Something like a weapon ornament or emblem for players with the skill* and dedication* to power through and hit 2100 and 5500 would be nice though.
-
5 RepliesI doubt it will reduce toxicity. but after sitting out this season crucible in total. I will be back next season - probably still won't get to Fabled for previous weapons, but will get a sniper rifle for my vault to hold onto. In Favor Of The Change.
-
2 RepliesThis would probably be the season to grind for NF if you don't mind the rework (I say rework instead of nerf because TTK is increased, but overall damage change is negligeable or non- existent) considering how laid back everyone will be.
-
6 RepliesI'm going to give Comp a solid week of my time and see how it goes. Bungie decided to change the quest system which is very commendable, but I am a Call of Duty PvP player now since Black Ops 4 caught my attention last year. If I cant earn the sniper in a week, I wont be back in Comp.
-
4 RepliesBungie has realised that this ain’t working as the only people left playing pvp are the sweats. So as normal it takes them a couple of seasons to realise there errors and they are adjusting them accordingly.
-
11 RepliesHonestly that sniper doesn't really seem worthy of being called pinacle. Pinacle should mean it's a cut above the rest. All it does is reward a missed shot and that's it? Feels lack luster in terms of being pinacle. Should have been returned a round on a headshot kill. Rewards skill and a well placed shot.
-
1 ReplyThe problem is that it's Kinetic. Makes it useless for anyone who mains TLW. We been asking for low zoom scopes for 2 years, finally get one and it's a kinetic... Perk also doesn't make sense at all. Any sniper main that connects most of Thier shots won't find this useful at all.
-
Edited by ApocThe-Strange1: 5/31/2019 10:03:00 PMMy favourite load out is pairing TLW with a sniper rifle, such as Twilight Oath. So I was hoping that the Revoker was going to be an energy weapon so it would be good to use alongside it. I suppose it'll pair better the Recluse instead. I mean, the perk doesn't seem bad, but yeah they could have given it something else like the "shoot to loot" perk too. Giving it the ability to both refund missed shots, and hunt for dropped ammo at a distance.

I’m not excited by any of them. Unless there’s a hidden gem I don’t see, these will be taking Vault space.
-
1 ReplyAs long as the people who jump in actually try I won't have any issues.
-
1 ReplyReally wouldn’t mind seeing the other weapons changed to be like this too. They should throw in some cosmetic rewards at each big rank tier tho
