New Pinnacle bow perk is not unique
The new Pinnacle Gambit bow's perk doesn't seem very thought thru considering we already have Archer's tempo that we can get rolled on other bow's that we can also get rolled with reduced draw times so I'm not seeing the appeal in a bow with a similar perk that does the same thing except you have to get the percision shot from the hip to activate it

Recluse just has buffed Kill Clip. That isn’t unique. And people said it would suck. It’s amazing. People said Mountain Top would suck. Prior to outbreak it was only kinetic weapon to 1 Phase raid bosses -
2 RepliesThey did state in its desciption that the draw time buff on its perk is better than archers tempo. Its uniqe because if the "hip fire" requirement to get the buff. Be honest, when has someone willingly hip fired a bow a lot? Problably little to nobody has tried. This will hopefully give people the ambition to "its a pain but at least you pnly need 1 crit to get the perk"

We don't know yet how fast it will be. It feels more unique than the Revokers perk tho. That one is really just mulligen it feels like.

Most likely it is going to be an INSANE decrease in draw time, similar to what they did with recluse to not make it just slightly better kill clip

Update: It is a solar precision combat bow. On one hand this means you could rock a full set of Gambit Pinnacle weapons in each Kinetic, Energy, and Heavy slot. On the other hand it means you won't be able to combo it with Recluse or Loaded Question.

2 RepliesEdited by Smough: 5/30/2019 12:02:26 PMI think bungie is making pinnacle weapons less unique and useful to avoid having weapons like luna’s/nf and recluse where they are so good in certain situations that you wouldn’t want to use anything else. That bow perk better make the draw time near instant or else I won’t see any reason to grind for it. The sniper is neat I suppose but I’m not grinding for a better mulligan. The grenade launcher seems the most interesting, since you could technically build up a lot of damage by generating orbs and increasing damage and blast radius at the same time, but it all depends on how much those stats are increased.

I’m actually excited for the bow or at least its potential. I really like the compound bow archetype so, maybe wishful thinking, this upgraded archer’s tempo doesn’t have a timer but lasts until killed or weapons is stored; if so it will be my favorite new bow.

And the Recluse perk is just a glorified kill clip. Doesn’t mean it’s bad.

All Pinnacle weapons are basically blown up versions of a specific perk.

Its very unique. Archer's tempo does not last long at all and mostly on the recurve type bows as opposed to the high powered compound bow. If it does what it says it will it will be a monster in the hands of someone skilled. People gotta stop expecting pinnacles to be like Luna/NF that why those guns are getting nerfed because they are almost the only option.

Plus this one only works on hipfired shots, archers tempo you can ads. So the reduced draw would need to be damn near instant for it to relevant.

We don't know how much it reduces draw time yet. We'll have to wait and see if it's any good.

If it doesn't also have rampage I'm not going out of my way for it.
