10 RepliesEither a heavy or a shotgun. Pve is gonna have a sniper and gambit will have a shotgun or sword. [spoiler]My guess is the whisper nerf is particularly to make this vanguard sniper look better. All speculation though.[/spoiler]

1 ReplyI actually suspect that it might be a Heavy Weapon (probably a Rocket Launcher). We’ve gotten the Mountaintop (Kinetic Special weapon), the Recluse (Energy Primary), yet no Heavy. Also, so far we haven’t seen any of the three game types have pinnacle weapons in the same weapon types, so I doubt that’ll change, so probably no Machine Gun if the Crucible pinnacle weapon is a Heavy.

9 RepliesEdited by ManBlaster: 5/24/2019 10:02:07 AMthe next pinnacle weapons will be either a sidearm, a bow, a sniper, a shotty(doubtful), a sword, maybe a linear fusion, or even less likely a trace rifle. These are the weapon types that have not been featured as pinnacle weapons yet. More than likely the 1st 3 will make a debut. The sniper being most likely since the whisper N**f. Doubt if you like, either way we'll find out next week. Here is hoping the bow is a a solar precision frame :/ The sniper will likely be a crucible pursuit since we asked for it for the past 2 seasons. The sidearm one can hope will be an aggressive burst like smuggler's word or death by scorn with great range and stability. with most pinnacle crucible weapons be nostalgic reskins of D1 glory weapons. I would predict the crucible sniper will look like the Longbow Synthesis... or... No Land Beyond.

15 RepliesLol at least crucible has had good pinnacle weapons so far. Vanguard pinnacle weapons so far have both been absolutely terrible.

I want it to be an underused weapon type much like the Recluse being an smg. I’d also like to see it being a heavy weapon as we haven’t had a crucible heavy yet. Therefore, a liner fusion rifle would be my pick. Not sure how it could be made pinnacle but possibly some perk that suppressed on headshots. This way, it could take down supers but basically be a normal linear against standard opponents. I’d also like to see a legendary heavy bow (actually in the heavy slot) that one shots to the head.

Could also be a linear fusion for same reasons as a rocket, but I’m not feeling it. Bonus round: either the Vanguard or Gambit weapons will be a shotgun. You heard it here first, folks.

1 ReplyIt can’t be a Fusion Rifle because there already is one, they’re going in an order of weapon types so the next Crucible pinnacle weapon will be a shotgun, sniper rifle, LFR, sidearm, pulse rifle or bow. I highly doubt they would add a legendary trace rifle but you never know.
