How to avoid Power Creep
Very simple really.
Buff the pathetically weak stuff to not godly OP destruction like the Top tier Exotics. You won't need to constantly outdo yourselves if you set a damn baseline and let some be those that rise above.
MIND BLOWN.
- Power Creep's negative effect is cyclic.
We wouldn't be craping on 'challenge' if the Aeons were worth a damn.

1 ReplyYou don't even need to do that you just need to create a situation where they aren't nearly as valuable. Which means they need to quit designing the game around damage numbers. Go figure that once you do that you start trying to find ways to fail players in DPS output. Examples being large health pools or timers. I knew things were going to be like this. I kept saying they should update enemy AI and create more interesting mission designs for a reason.

No? Then it’ll be fine

Absolutely nothing. It’s either nerf them or people will use them and only them until D3. They put themselves in that position though so the backlash I feel is justified.

Yep, the problem with this whole riot and why people are upset is because almost every other exotic is just not worth using in comparison, especially the armour. Personally I'm done playing this sadistic game of surprise nerf and I'm going to not play destiny until they get their shit together. This whole mess shouldn't be hard to fix, but like you said, aeon armour is still a thing. This game is hopeless.
