[Opinion] - Zero Hour mission. An opportunity to build community.

I want to say my favorite things about the Zero Hour quest (or the whisper quest or shattered throne dungeon) is the opportunity it presents for the community to help each other accomplish something new. If you’re going to be dedicating time to running the quest and learning the whole thing anyway to complete it yourself why don’t you head to LFG and help other guardians out for a while after you have it done. It’s not like there is a ton of other stuff to do out there, and so many players have limited time to try and accomplish this type of thing. In the past I have benefited from people going to LFG just to help other people accomplish the completion of new missions. I have also spent time setting up and joining fire teams of people who want to learn and complete it themselves. I used to run EP groups when that was a thing, and helped many people get their first clear and it was a good time. It also just helps people still playing feel good about playing. So I suggest if you have learned it and completed it help others in the LFG.
No I am not suggesting that people carry players who just want to get carried. If they are too low light level or don’t want to try and complete it as a team then I don’t suggest wasting time with those players.
Edit: I was finally able to actually attempt the mission briefly today. (Personal stuff has severely limited my play time this week). I went to LFG and found a couple of players who had completed it, and were looking for a third. My first attempt one of our teammates for DC’d and the fans had some amazing bonus suctions that gave us problems. We failed it. Then we ran it again and it was gg ez. It helped immensely that they had experience beating it, and they were very cool about running it with someone without experience. We exchanged friend requests and I had to go, but it was a great experience. This is why I suggest that anyone with the time to run it a lot, learn it very well, and is good working with groups go to LFG and help players who ask for it. Edit 2: So many people have mentioned the timer in their comments here and in other posts so I made a feedback post to Bungie that expresses my thoughts on it here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/252081732/0/0

For me, it really shows the difference in the destiny community compared to say Monster Hunter World or Dark Souls. In those games people voluntarily helped people get past the harder bottlenecks in the game. I happily spent hours helping people past Dark Souls bosses and countless monsters. On Destiny I just get met with a lot of "git gud" people or general toxicity lol. If more people actually assisted each other there would be less labelling of people as "casual" or "hardcore"..... Then again, probably not lol
