I'm kidding of course, I still see plenty of people playing out in the public spaces. The problem is with Vanguard strikes. I should have no trouble finding at least one other Guardian to do a strike with. As of lately, even during peak hours, matchmaking will not find even a single other player, and I'll be forced to go it alone. This is really great because Bungie, with their infinite wisdom, has decided that you need to play through three strikes a week with at least one other Guardian using a class with the same element as yours in order to earn a weekly powerful engram. Good luck doing that when the game's matchmaking is consistently unable to find even one other Guardian to play with. What an outstanding feature. I wouldn't even be frustrated about this if it wasn't for the fact that you've put these stupid nonsense bounties into the game which are now entirely dependent upon whether other people are playing the game or not. I don't give a single shit about doing strikes with other players, I could go either way, I just want to complete these bounties and get my engram, but at this point, at least in my experience, it's entirely hit or miss as to whether I'll be able to do that or not. Just today I tried to find other Guardians for like ten minutes before just saying "screw it" and jumping into a strike. I made it to the boss and just sat there and waited for people to join for a while, and nothing. At least do something about these stupid bounties so that they're not dependent upon the game's dying community. Even the Verdant Forest was like this sometimes, which is ridiculous because you'd think lots of people would be playing a limited time event game mode, but nope, apparently not.

Anyone saying it's fine must be either very lucky, or delusional, because I just finished doing a couple of strikes about an hour ago, and I had to solo both of them. It was only around 6 or 7 pm here.

its not dead just find 5 people who play like you every day ..
-
3 RepliesThey should add cross play to pve to fix this
-
Can't vouch for whether it is dead or not but I can assure you I don't play nearly as much as I once did. Hell at this rate I probably won't be playing at all ever again. A large part of that is thanks to the poor design making the game insufferable to play. A lot of the games features do not come together well.

1 ReplyPc needs to go, splits the player base too much and bungie can’t balance console and pc clearly..... 2 different games
-
1 ReplyYes, it's dead.

PC had like 190k people at launch, compared to almost a million on each console. PC also had a larger drop in players in the first year than either console (percentage wise) When I was playing PC a few months ago (when it was free) I noticed decent queue times in QP, eh in strikes, eh in low comp and then absolutely abysmal as you progressed in comp. And in all forms of crucible I noticed I was matching against many of the same players Everybody I know says the queue times on PC are abysmal, The player base on PC is tiny

14 RepliesUnbelievable that we sacrificed our franchise for the sake of pc gamers abandoning the game... 😂

I only play on PC moved from PS4.its fine

6 RepliesI quit playing since the Luna/NF nerf was announced, and Borderlands 3 being right around the corner. So I started playing Borderlands 1, 2, and Pre Sequel, and prob going to play Rage 2. I just don't feel any drive to play anymore, Bungie could easily nerf stability by 10-15 on both guns, and nerf mag howl in PvP to do 1.8x damage, and it'd be fine. The real problem is the way guns feel on controller, and they are so damn stubborn about changing it that they would rather nerf a gun that is at best B tier on Keyboard and Mouse, than fix their guns so everything is consistent, reliable, and no longer has ghost bullets. It just frustrates me to no end when a company shoots themselves in the foot like this, and after a year of trying to be patient I've pretty much given up, the nerf announcement was the nail in the coffin for me. Been playing Borderlands and having a hell of a good time.

Its not dead just very secluded. I played for a sec on pc just to see the difference between it and ps4 and graphically it is a big difference as well as frames. It doesn't have the population ps4 has but for the most part i have noticed he quality of players is significantly higher for a small section.

6 RepliesPc players are too busy getting error codes rn. They playing other games.

While I was playing, and that was... November through April, while I played strikes, I rarely had any problems finding team or at least one other player in Vanguard list. And I generally played during astronomical very late evenings-very early mornings. Planetary strikes (i.e. concrete strikes launched from planets) may had no other player, or just one player connecting and leaving consequentially. Forges... Well, until Bungie changed Ada's frames, if it was "dead" forge (no daily bounties and no relevant frames), I couldn't find anyone to play with. Otherwise I may have to wait several rounds till someone showed up. But what troubled me were Gambits, because not being able to find just seven more players for 5-10 minutes up until error message is baffling. According to all known metrics sites, my network was fine. Given that according to Warmind Gambit is quite popular activity, I find it difficult to believe no one was playing.

1 ReplyJust don't do that weekly mission, only do the daily one (every 4 days) from strikes, problem solved, there are other ways to get powerful engrams, and you don't have to use every one.
-
1 ReplyThe Verdant forest itself was lame. The other things the event brought were what rocked but the forest itself got old after a few runs. It’s most likely why Bungie ignores some peoples pleas to make it a permanent mode.

if they added strike specific loot into the regular version of strikes as well that was seperate from the nightfall mode, the strike playlist might be worth doing then

17 RepliesEdited by michael: 5/10/2019 1:44:54 AMSucks because destiny has hands down the most well done pc ported console game I have ever played. It feels like how the game is meant to be and console is what feels like a knockoff when it realistically should be the other way around. Activision parting with bungie really, really sucks because it means there might not be a pc port in the future, and if there is then it will be in bungie’s hands which is worrying when you look how great the d2 port is
-
How about this - coordinate playing with some friends and go in with a pre-made fireteam?
-
In PC land there's tons of competition, especially from indie titles, many of which offer a much better experience than Destiny 2
-
It also matters your connection and your skill level. Since I’m in endgame content, I get purged with the 85% of the community at end game. So I get moderately quick load times.

All of Bungies high paid streamers play on PC

6 RepliesEdited by sdfgtty67: 5/10/2019 12:57:52 AMIts really dead. Even during release it was only getting 5 to 6k playing trials a week lmao I have a mate who plays on PC and he can't even match anyone in Australia/NZ anymore lmao
-
Vanguard strikes need strike specific loot
-
1 Replyyea I think PC is dead man, Vicarious is gone unless maintaining D2 function to the end of Y2 up until the next is still somehow still their job in terms of strikes they're dead everywhere but the low PC population exacerbates this
-
7 RepliesConsidering the group that made the pc version is still with Activision I wouldn’t have high hopes for pc.

1 ReplyEdited by LethiaAlethia: 5/10/2019 8:18:57 AMWell I guess there are some details that should make me grateful for having picked the PS4 version over PC, cause finding people for Strikes and stuff works pretty fast.
