I don't understand why bungie just don't take everyone into account with this. Not everyone likes jump puzzles, believe it or not not everyone likes puzzle games and if you want to play platform/puzzles games there's a whole genre of just that. Time limits are also annoying and cause unnecessary stress, plus it's just a lazy way of making content "hard".
They could have easily done it that there's not a time limit till you get to the boss and then that way the people who do struggle with jump puzzles (shockingly some people do!) wouldn't have to stress about the jumping.
At the end of the day d2 is a loot-shooter it's not been built for typical jump puzzles and that can cause problems if you are the wrong character. The time limit just adds to that stress.

Ooooh the stress is soo bad in this game!!! First I have to play PvP, now Jumping puzzles!!! ... Please uninstall this game and play candy crush instead.

I was simply responding to the original poster who made a valid point. Take your negativity and rudeness elsewhere.

This missions isn't for everyone.
-
This missions isn't for everyone.
LMAO last I checked it's free for EVERYONE.
-
Yeah but not everyone is good enough, is what I meant
-
So because some people feel the need to feel special over a video game, everyone isn't good enough? This mission doesn't require great levels of skill. You just need to have the patience to run it a few times so you can get the jumping down. Falling that do what probably everyone has and watch a streamers video. That's really difficult 😂
-
So because some people feel the need to feel special over a video game, everyone isn't good enough?
Some people just won't get it because it's too hard for them. That's just how it is in video games. Always has been, always will be

Edited by draycole: 5/8/2019 11:15:30 PMSure it had nothing to do with the tens of thousands of people who enjoyed the whisper of the worm mission so bungie might make another ? Like here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/90m8mt/whoever_at_bungie_was_part_of_the_whisper_of/ Or this: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/90uymi/our_positive_response_to_whisper_of_the_worm_is/ Or here thousands happy the quest was made always available: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/al2d3d/whisper_quest_now_always_available/ Or this: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/90xw82/whisper_of_the_worm_is_100_my_proudest/ But I guess the collective 10k+ upvotes these posts have are all streamers from the summit right?

Why not release another shattered throne? BTW, the whisper quest was so celebrated because it was unique .... by its very existence this mission dilutes that.... it has very similar sections....

Wait... 🤔 What exactly are you saying here? These are fake upvotes? And the positive reception of the outbreak mission is also fake support? Come on now get real And whether it's unique or not doesn't make in any less well received.

Bungie have released a cookie cutter "time trial" again and everyone is falling all over themselves to praise Bungie..... it's the same thing as they have done, just wrapped up with a different bow.... I don't feel like praising Bungie for the lack of innovation when it changes absolutely nothing. They get away with so much because people get sooooo excited over such little things.... OMG bungie almost came up with something original......
-
Ahhh I get it. Yeah dude this isn't 2014 anymore. That ship has sailed.
-
Actually no, people like you still fall over yourself to praise their every effort because it makes you feel all special. But enjoy 2014...... I skipped all that.... More important things to do...

Stop trying to label people and listen.. I agree with you. But no one cares anymore... It's like a severely mentally handicapped adult learning to feed themselves. For the average person, not that much of an achievement. But in context it's good progress. But like I said, no one cares anymore

Uhm... Yeah... Welcome to Destiny
-
You're god.

It's literally impossible to take everyone's likes and dislikes into account. They are never going to be able to do that lol...some people will always dislike activities they make. Jeez, a supreme secret.mission and people still find ways to complain.

Jeez, a supreme secret.mission and people still find ways to complain.
Exactly same as the forums then. No matter how reasonable an argument someone complains. Funnily I wasn't complaining......simply stating an opinion. It's not difficult to take opinions into considerations and funnily enough one of the things I suggested would do just that 😁
-
Yes. Agreed with you
-
This is their way of taking everyone into account. Lots of people hated the jumping and timers in the WoTW quest, but lots of other people loved it and have been asking for more. There are tons of activities and quests that don't have jumping puzzles and timers, and two of these. I understand where you're coming from, but some of us like having aspects of the game push us out of our comfort zone and challenge us in different ways.
-
If they took everyone into account there wouldn't be a timer for the whole mission. Some people are honestly technically challenged when it comes to jumping. I know some of them lol.
-
I can be at times myself. The problem is there isn't really any content that can truly be for everyone. If it is easy enough that nobody ever struggles, then it isn't really engaging or challenging for some people. If it is challenging enough for the hardcore crowd, then some people will feel left out. There isn't a way to make everyone happy all the time. I think having a few quests like this is a good balance. It's really hard right now, but it's only been one day. It'll get easier as time goes on. Some people just can't jump period, and may always struggle, but they can't just remove those aspects of the game when there are a reasonable amount of people who think these two quests are some of the best things to ever happen in destiny 2.
