timers serve only to make you fight efficiently and add zero difficulty to an event. any grief people get from seeing a timer is personal anxiety knowing they can't perform at at high output rate for a sustained time.
"jumping puzzles" are nothing more than difficult terrain to cross, everything shouldn't have walkways with railing for you to casually stroll through as if you are in an art museum. why do you think they gave you such movement abilities? to get across things that you can't walk through.............
if a simple quest is impossible for you it speaks volumes of you and nothing of the game nor designers.

Jumping puzzles wouldn’t be as big an issue if some of the terrain that you are jumping into didn’t deflect you off the ledge you landed on ie the pipes you have to land on in the fan room during the mission. When the environment forces you off of the thing you are supposed to land on, then the hit boxes on the environment need adjusting.
