Outbreak Quest is awesome.
Well done guys. My team didn’t quite manage to finish (what we assume is) the last room last night but we got close and we got quicker each time. We did the whole thing without looking at any guides (as we always do) and I haven’t felt so much affection for the game in a long time. Last time was probably Shattered Throne.
I know it’s not “cool” to congratulate you on your accomplishments but I have to say I think you’ve done a great job and I hope you continue to implement this kind of high quality content in the future.
I genuinely can’t wait to get back on tonight to try and finish it and it’s been a long time since I’ve felt that way, I hope this is the precedent you’re setting for Season of Opulence.

5 RepliesI don’t mean to spoil it for you but I’m just going to highly suggest that you kill all the minors in that last room. My team killed the “Boss” before the timer ran out and still failed. We completed it on the next run. I’ll stop there. We need more positive feedback. The game is great and people focus too much on the bad. Let’s be honest, If the game was really THAT bad then people wouldn’t be playing it.

1 Replytwo things better than current raids shattered throne dungeon whisper and outbreak missions need more of each style of play. id love to see an expansion with 6 dungeons and several whisper missions and zero raids. Unless they bring back VOG Crota Kings Fall style raids these whole numbers game raids are not fun. game mechanics are fun. pre calculus and screaming at teamates is not

17 RepliesI personally hate jumping puzzles-- which is why I still don't have Whisper-- but other than that, I think the quest is cool. I can work against a timer. Sadly, I likely won't get Outbreak because again, I hate jumping puzzles.

1 ReplyI'm happy that a bunch of people are enjoying it. For me personally, I think it was just ok. Better than nothing, I guess. I am really not a fan of timers. It adds stress that wipes out all the fun. I'd rather have some difficulty that can be overcome through trial and error, good battles and no timer. Exploring while you play is a huge part of the enjoyment I get from games. Missions like this don't have that. It's just a stress filled rush to get it over with.

It was ok. The whisper quest required more skill in maneuverability this one in gun/battles. While both were timed I never felt rushed with whisper. This one the time was always on my mind. The prospect of having to do it again and again for the catalyst has me thinking about opting out of the catalyst. Even though the pve potential is insane. I loved the maps. I loved the killer robot from outer spce, but think ro much time is focused on the rush of completion.

1 ReplyI agree. All the PTSD from doing it for 4-5 hours aside, it was an enjoyable quest for a really good weapon. Going back to the old tower was really fun and seeing a bit more than we've seen before was really cool! I hope in the future we get more content like this and less quests that add a crucible step for no reason. Final Rating on the mission for me would be an 9/10.
