In Destiny 1 my favorite quest ever was the Outbreak Prime. Doing code in the raid felt so interesting to me and made me really engaged in the rise of iron DLC. I'm very surprised there hasn't been many things like this in Destiny 2.

We need more D1 concepts brought to D2. Raid ornaments, hidden quests, hidden anything, challenging PvE, unique perks and guns, etc.

2 RepliesIt's funny how starting the Outbreak quest was so difficult and deep that it united this community in a way we never saw before. Then if you look at the Niobe Lab puzzle, which should have had the same effect, most of the community hardly cared at all.
-
Well there was a fuss about the secret forge quest and the Charlemagne bit, but yeah Outbreak was alright.
-
1 ReplyWhisper in Warmind was like this, but I understand what you mean

The only thing I guess was close to the quest was whisper, but it didn’t involve a raid. I wish we had more secret quests without a tour guide telling you everything?

Contents hard unless it's for Eververse then it's not." -Bungie

Wild, I remember when my crew and I got the thing. First thing we all did was load into to crucible then only spammed that weapon. Alot of multi-kills lmao.
-
Didn’t they try doing that again for the Forge but no one could figure it out?
-
Aside from the insane math behind figuring out the friggen node combinations the weapon itself was pretty baller. Maybe more stuff like Black Spindle to spice things up - I loved helping people get that weapon.
-
Touch of Malice was awesome. Just to add.
-
Agrees, minus having to do things in a group as hunter warlock and titan. I remember that bs.
-
1 ReplyEven if we did I don't think we have that part of our dedicated community anymore. I mean take a look at the last forge and the fact that no one could figure it out so they just released it in the end. Most of our good puzzle/code breakers (not in the hacking sense) have all but gone to greener pastures I feel, sad day. = /

2 RepliesI miss the random exotic quest drop. Super good advice, thorn, invective.
-
1 ReplyBut what if there are? What if we have 30 quests right now that are so secret nobody has discovered them?
-
Edited by Verdigris: 5/1/2019 9:33:51 PMWhat. If.
W E A L R E A D Y D O?
we just don’t know it
-
If they make more quests they will just make them 80% pvp related cuz they know how much a large percentage of the community love this pvp .
-
So you want to have another quest line that heavily relies on using external sources to be able to solve and make progress. Sorry - but no.
-
If they made the Raid Exotics useful in the Raid, sure. Outbreak was easily overshadowed by other good rolled legendaries. And what about Raid Perks on armor that we were asking for in D2 Vanilla? Still have yet to get any with Raid specific perks. Levaithan Armors were generalized with unique passives sure but not on the level of D1 Raids.

1 ReplyOutbreak prime was a pretty dope questline, tho i think the raid ecounter objective shoulda been toned back a bit.
-
3 RepliesNo thanks that quest was just ridiculous. More like the whisper of the worm yes thankyou
-
Maybe we DO have this content, we just haven’t found it yet... 😳
-
1 ReplyAgreed 1000000% On one condition. 2 separate quests for each weapon. 1 for PvE players to earn it and 1 for PvP players to earn it. That way everyone is happy and the forums won’t be full of kids -blam!- and complaining why they “can’t get the weapon” cause something is “forced” on them
-
2 RepliesYeah, if there is one thing I would always like more of, it's black spindle, outbreak prime, and whisper missions. Those are some of the best moments in Destiny history. Hoping penumbra brings a few based on its description.
-
19 RepliesI believe that is what Bungie hinted was coming in Opulence.

Cool puzzle, learned some minor coding, yes
