Escalation protocol chests shouldn’t require keys
It’s hard enough hard to find people to play this, let alone get lucky enough to have a key drop. Just remove it so we can fill out the collection.

I think they should cost five key fragments instead of seven.

You get 7 fir first clear of the nf each week per toon

Complete the nightfall and you instantly can complete a key. Thing I don’t lime is how they only allow one key per week, but you can at least get fragments for your next one while you wait

There's no luck involved, you earn the key exactly the same way every time guaranteed and the loot drop is in a guaranteed order

1 ReplyI agree its a long grindy quest that is horribly unrewarding 99% of the time. If you lack talent simply add more grind because wasted time make player so happy. just look at the last step of the Thorn quest most people that complete it never want to do it again. # devfail! There is someone really crappy in management or the dev team. \

4 RepliesKeys arent lucky. You earn them. Many Youtube videos if you need help finding them. Its been a while for me i dont remember how to get the fragments.

I did it then, so I have no sympathy for this post haha It sounds like you areally a little confused as the keys don't drop randomly. You have to get 7 pieces, take them to Anna and she gives you the key. The armor is useless now as it doesn't have random rolls, but collections I guess. If you want weapons, you have to kill the boss over and over until it drops from them...nothing to do with the chest.

1 ReplyThe weapons that drop come from the boss, not the chest. But with that being said there are some things that can definitely be changed. For starters you can only acquire one encrypted key per week which time gates the armor pieces over a 5 week process since you cannot stack encrypted keys. Second: you have to complete all 7 levels to decrypt each key but at least you can stack those. Not usually a problem unless you join in on an event on level 2 or higher because you won't have a decrypted key until you run more levels beyond the final Third point: armor drops are Y1 status no random perks and drop at 380... definitely need to update this to Y2 mod/random rolls. Final: still no matchmaking so it's based on luck to find a group willing to grind out the levels you need, especially if there is nothing new to acquire. Some are there only to get kills for bounties or Ada-1's weapon frames and most likely will leave once their personal objective is met.

I aquired all Ikelos weapons just randomly joining EP whenever I chanced by one. Never even had a single key. Only the shotgun was useful to me and I got it early so there was never a need to hurry. Aside from Ikelos weapons, not a lot to hunt. The lost sectors were much more useful for the chance at DRB drop.

Lucky enough to get a key drop? You may need to check up on how ep works. The chest only gives armour anyway, the weapons drop from the wave 7 boss kill if you're lucky :)

1) the keys don't drop - you have to earn them, which is incredibly easy. (try youtube) 2) if you have a 3 man team - you can clear all 7 levels with ease - a random blueberry makes it even easier.

1 ReplyOnly the armor pieces seem to drop from the chests. I’ve acquired all of the ikelous weapons from killing the tier 7 bosses. Actually dropping from the kill of the boss and not the chest. You can repeatedly farm it as well.

Keys drop from nightfall guaranteed 7. Take the 7 to ana to decrypt into an escalation key, complete 7 ways to charge key, unlock chest.

6 RepliesI love playing EP and have never got a key,if it was made easier to obtain them then remain they should Otherwise remove them and perhaps increase the levels from say 1 to 10 instead of 1 to 7.

My issue isn’t with the keys themselves, but with how there’s a weekly lockout to keep you from grinding out a full set in a single long session, which is bullshit imo. I want to run and finish the set on my Titan, but I sure as hell don’t wanna wait another 3 weeks to do so for a now outdated, but cool af, set of armor.
