I was a defender for cores until the exploit. If they are gonna just let people keep thousands of them they might as well be useless. The only function they have now is to punish people who didn’t exploit. There is plenty to do in this game. Getting rid of farming rare materials isn’t going to tank player time/engagement. They will just be spending more playtime doing activities they actually want to do.

Because some streamers also make advantage to this glitch, bungo can't do anything but to suck their d*ck again. Let's remove scrapper which actually unlimited chance to get cores per day and replace it with another task-grinding daily bounties from banshe-44 Let's also make the bounty 1 pvp and 1 pve so players won't complain! Weekly bounty? Let's just give them 1 core, the same as daily bounty, cuz we still need it to be [b][u]Impactful[/u][/b] and [b][i]The Achievement[/i][/b] bullshit we gonna give to players is necessary and important. Meanwhile. Some people right now is carrying 10k cores in their inventory/vault, never have to worry about infusing/masterworking anymore for the rest of his/her d2 life. What a really fair treatment, they goes against their own Terms and Agreement bullcrap because of these streamers huge dongs that bungo need to suck. Exploiting and abusing glitch should have banned you the moment you decide to use it. And I am still salty about countless hundreds of hours I put in for my 300++ cores and some random person who happened not to claim their pinnacle can get all my cores within 5 minutes of playing. Did you notice how they were active in the forum couple of weeks ago (funnily enough when BL3 was announced for Sept), then all this exploit stuff went down, the stupid potential change to obtaining cores was announced so they disappeared back off into their echo chamber for another month or two. But guys "they are listening"

I posted one of these posts and someone showed me the light, y’all complaining about something you have to [b]grind[/b] for, if you actually took the time to get them you would have alot.

So, no... I completely disagree with the OP. I love the idea of Enhancement cores, absolutely. There are so many ways to get some if you're running low: Trade shards with spider, do spider bounties, get them from clan rewards, scrapped weapons, the consumable matter weave thing... I play pretty regularly, and use my cores if I find I'm using a weapon a lot. I'm sitting around 100 cores without even trying. I'm not doing spider bounties and all that, just basically scrapping and doing bounties. The fact that there was an exploit (which I missed) is on Bungie.

Try doing a chest grind on Mars in D1....

I think they know they f'ed up (with the glitch), but don't want to make the change now as it'll make people assume they're admitting they messed up putting cores in infusions. Fair is fair. Even if Bungie had good reason to have cores in infusion (they don't), the system is now exponentially more unbalanced towards hardcore players than it already was. All they're doing by being stubborn is pissing people off more and more, and to what end? To punish those who DIDN'T take advantage of the exploit? Come the f**k on, guys.

You should be able to craft enhancement cores out of 5 legendary shards and a new item that bungie could add from strike, nightfall and public event chests kind of like how we got those things for the mercury weapons but less of a pain in the ass. Bungie did us dirty by raising the LL this season because they want you to use cores so you have less when they throttle the way we can get them next season. They probably want people to play more so they can shop destiny around to some publisher by showing the insane amount of hours we all play. This game is fun and while I feel bungie has severely let us down and continues to screw up almost everything they do I still enjoy it a lot more than I should.
