Just curious
Edit: It was pointed out to me that I should be more specific. I mean enhancement cores removed from infusion, not everything
Edit 2: just wanted to clarify, I am not for enhancement cores being removed from infusion. I really don’t care, I have plenty enough for my needs. I was just curious how many people were like me, and how many people really wanted them removed

Only for Y1 weapons and armor and already Masterworked gear.

4 RepliesMasterwork Cores had a good economy in Year 1. I just want that back
-
They might not remove them, but at least give more ways to obtain them.

3 RepliesEdited by Kanashimi510: 4/8/2019 6:37:04 PMNot removed completely. Imo, they were in a good place as masterwork cores. They wouldn't need more sources or drop rates if they just went back to that. *Didn't vote since my opinion isn't available in the poll.

IMO, Cores should work like the Exotic Shards worked on D1: You had to infuse Exotics, Cores would be among the required materials. Legendaries? Only Planet materials, glimmer and Legendary Shards.
-
Yes, but I know they won’t. I try to use as little as possible

I'd personally like if they were removed from infusion since the system isnt really casual-friendly (rip newbies). Unless I give destiny all my free time [instead of playing other games or spending my time elsewhere] and specifically do tasks that would give me cores, I would very rarely be able to infuse the gear I like. Masterworking my main sets was hard enough but it had purpose, and those cores actually went towards something, ie. the masterwork itself. Infusing just to build my light level is a pointless concept with how much time and cores it wastes, especially when I would have to infuse the same piece of gear multiple times to make the most of my highest light level/powerful gear. I'd rather save for masterworks. Either way, I guess it doesn't really matter to me anymore; I only really play Apex in my free time now, since d2 became pretty stale for me. I just hope Bungie listens to its community and betters these systems for everyone, instead of just focusing on the sweaties who flex their no-life core surplus statuses.
-
Honestly, if enhancement cores dropped more reliably then I'd have no issue. Maybe from crucible matches, strike chests, on level up (like motes of light from D1) heroic adventures/story missions etc. Currently the only sources are either one offs (spider/scrapper bounties), rng based (scrapper bounties/drops from dismantling gear), or just really monotonous (trading materials with Spider). I'd argue that grinding for curated weapons is a source, but that's still very rng based.
-
Just take them back to their original use, Masterworking. Knowing Bungie though, they would take it back to Masterworking and then increase the cost by 10 fold.

1 ReplyEdited by Ardour: 4/8/2019 8:02:14 PMIts pointless. They afraid you wont grind mach. But you HAVE to GRIND, BEASH! Do same crap over and over if you feel like you need to up all our favorite gear builds to the max! You got it? Now move on. And also meaningful choices and shit...well you know...

1 ReplyDon't care at this point. The system is lazy and uninspired. It was added to infusion just to act as a time gate to stretch content out a little further. But that said, I don't personally have any issues with it being in the game because cores are easy to get and manage. I just recognize it for what it is while playing around it. So whether it's reworked or left alone, really doesn't affect me one way or the other.

4 RepliesEdited by A Lion of Judah: 4/8/2019 7:53:18 PMUnder 5 levels gained should be free, 5 level increase should cost 1 core, every 2 levels more costs 1 core. Max of 4 cores.

2 RepliesEither add them to a decent amount of loot pools or remove them. Heroic public events should be one source. Then 100k nightfall’s and crucible ranks are some more. Play the game while having fun, not forcing players to grind for single cores. That’s boring.
-
This seems to be a big topic. In my opinion this is a non issue, again just my opinion, but i don't see the problem. They're pretty easy to acquire.
-
Dont really care. I never have a surplus, but I hardly run out when I need them. Infusion is too complex for the common folks?
-
YES! I FREKING DO!
-
Lol. Vote on it then?
-
Well, do you, punk?
-
Just play the game and you'll get the cores
-
Remove from infusion but use the core, shards, glimmer and planted materials to upgrade pre forsaken armors and weapons so they would be of use.

Removed from infusion yes

Well it's funny because cores only purpose is to elongate the grind of the game. Having to worry about the pseudo grind that is light level is bad enough without also having to worry about cores every single time you infuse something.

I need more things to spend it on, wish Xur has a random Exotic Masterwork each weak I can buy with 50-100 cores.
