Please Bungie for the love of god, don’t remove pvp from this game. This games pvp is what keeps me playing every day. If you remove it it’ll kill a lot of the momentum keeping a large portion of the community playing consistently. Keep up the good pve content, but don’t cut out the fun for half the community.
This blew up way more than I thought it would.
Go check out my Instagram for some dope clips! Jester_Na
Hopefully Bungie sees this and gets some feedback.
Update: bungie has confirmed crucible will remain in d3

3 RepliesIsnt PVP where Bungie became great? Not from PvE from players vs other players enjoyed shooting with unique weapons. Please dont even let the thought be conceived to remove PvP. I hate CoD and ill be force to play if you gi back on what MADE you THE BUNGIE
-
I just hope to God they don't pull a Division and add their version of the Dark Zone. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather not get sniped/shotgunned/supered/etc while I'm running patrols or doing bounties.
-
1 Replykeep PvP, just say no shotguns in D3. seriously, that crutch needs gone NOW
-
I am a PvP player only, with around 60 days played across my accounts. Forgive me if I am totally wrong.... but like, didnt PvP keep d1 alive? Not so much D2 but thats because of the trash game modes and Metas. There really isnt anything to grind for since all of the gear sets are the same, the only weapon that drops is the better Devils (4/hour with a full squad) and sniping isnt viable at all on console due to the "Lack of skill" shot guns require compared to snipers (Dont get butt hurt guy, differant skill... not no skill hence the quotes). PvP is just really boring, its not even like you can grind for a tier 12 build, FLAWLESS (Because taking out trials was a brilliant Idea), Streamers have nothing to stream because sherpas cannot sherpa?!?!?!

Please, the sweats need their own domain
-
I really doubt it will be removed altogether. Probably just scaled back and relegated to a second hand mode. I'd be okay with that. PvP should not dictate how the loot in the game works. Unfortunately, that's been the case for far too long. It hurts the game more than it helps. It hurts because of the way it's implemented.

Naa.....sack shaxx.

1 ReplyI hope is just rumors I don’t want PvP out.
-
For one not even half rely on PvP way more PvE players but I don't want PvP cut out either there not gonna cut it out were got info on that is wrong if anything need nerf spectral blades crucible if see less playing now that's a lot reason over powered lasts way too long

43 RepliesOnly a small portion play pvp

https://warmind.io/activity If these stats are to be believed, I can see why people might be concerned about what will happen to Crucible in D3. However, while I think a change is in order, I doubt they would cut it entirely. Between Competitive, Quickplay, and Rumble that's 12% of the player base. That's pretty low, but since nobody is talking about them cutting Raids, which only have 3% activity, I'd hazard a guess that Crucible is safe. Going to point out that was as of 3hrs ago, on a Tuesday morning, so I'm definitely going to keep an eye on these stats over the week. My feeling is that Raids and Crucible would go up during the evenings and weekends, but I'll have to wait and see. Regardless, it seems to me that Crucible is popular enough that Bungie wouldn't cut it.

3 RepliesEdited by Cinderchar: 4/2/2019 2:34:38 PMI think you guys are all missing whats being said. PvP isn't being removed. It's being changed. I highly doubt Bungie releases a strictly PvE game. I just really doubt it will be the same PvP experience some are used to. The leaks don't suggest PvP is going away. They suggest it's changing to a different form. Division still has PvP game modes. My guess is the QP modes will be there to choose from along with the PvEvP style of dark zones. Maybe it will be some kind of invader sequence like a Dark Souls given Gambit has been the testing ground for PvEvP content. Competitive is probably dead. Trials is probably dead. But the player count for those modes is so small it probably won't be felt. Competitive is played by less than 4% of the community right now.

16 RepliesDestiny isn't a PvP game. It's a luxury to have it because all shooters in the past had pvp. Destiny is a online multiplayer shooter RPG that happens to have PvP. They are making D3 more akin to an MMO (finally) as they've been wanting to. There will be a PvP area but its going to behave like world of Warcraft. While you're playing the game doing tasks, you can get shot at.

Edited by gunf1reman: 4/2/2019 2:58:32 PMIf this is true: Bungie is digging the hole deep they are about to lay down in. No matter what; the damage has been done already with the horrible leadership. Hold up is this April fools? Hah!

1 ReplySince Activision parted ways with Bungie, it makes me wonder if there will even be a Destiny 3.
-
3 RepliesSame thoughts here dude. PVP is what keeps me engaged long term in the game. Been playing since the D1 Beta and have always enjoyed PVP and the gunplay in Destiny. I love PVE aswell but it becomes repetitive. I believe they need both aspects of this game to be successful, they just need to do a better job of managing it. I really dont get people who say they want it removed from the game. I would never want an aspect removed from the game(even if i dont enjoy it myself).
-
1 ReplyI play through the PVE content (when there is some) first. Once I've gone through all that, I jump into PVP. I spend most time in PVP and really enjoy it. If it is removed from the game, I'll remove myself.

4 RepliesEdited by ODSTrooper: 4/2/2019 5:14:34 AMWhat's this all about and how did it arise exactly? Sorry, I have been busy with other things and haven't been checking the forums, etc. Am I correct in my understanding that there's talk of crucible being scrapped as a whole or something and replaced with 'dark zones' similar to the likes of the division? If PvP was to be removed I would be greatly displeased, while yes I play both sides of this game for me crucible represents something different to jump into over grinding strikes, raids, patrol zones etc. It is what mostly gives me any incentive to grind for specific gear and weapon rolls. In D1 my playtime between the two sides was probably 50/50, but in D2 I would say Crucible represents about 60/40 of my total playtime. I have been playing PvP across Bungie games since Halo 3, and to have something possibly happen to Crucible might even make me consider for once not buying Destiny game.

This is just a rumor, don't believe it will happen even if i would be fine with that
-
3 Repliestheir not removing pvp their moving focus to pve... you still have pvp but the game isnt balanced for pvp... so basically what we have now but without any nerfs
-
11 RepliesI have 1500h in D2. If you remove PVP I would go play Rainbow Six full time. Separation of PVP and PVE would make me stop playing PVE. I'd play every PVE event once to experience it, then invest time in PVP. I think the merge of PVP and PVE is what makes Destiny unique and special to me. A separation would make it just another story shooter with a PVP mode attached at the side.
-
Honestly PvP is what I do during dry seasons like this. Without that this game would be unbearable
-
When trials was active I use to get on Twitch and destiny was one of the top games on Twitch register. Now you can't even find Destiny/ Forsaken because so few stream or watch it. Sign of the times Bungie
-
No pvp = no D3 for me. Everything I do in this game is geared towards getting better weapons/armor for pvp.
-
1 ReplyIf they remove PvP, I will not be buying D3. It is my favorite activity when PvE is dry and I really can't see myself playing strikes or gambit nonstop during content droughts.
-
3 Repliesyea, a pve only looter shooter is what borderlands 3 is for. Without pvp, destiny is literally just another failed looter shooter. I only play pve to grind for a weapon, then use it in crucible. To me, pve only exists to better myself in pvp. Without pvp, why even play? Story? No. Shooting mobs? No. Running the same pve activities each week for weapons and armor that could not be any less impactful in other pve activities? No.
