Is exotic duplicate drop protection even a real thing?
I have all exotic weapons but the 3 tied to raids (acrius, 1k, and anarchy), lord of wolves, jotuun, and arbalest, as well as all titan exotics but stronghold.Today is Thursday. On Tuesday, upon completing my clan xp, I was gifted with a darci. Yesterday, when I completed my nightfall, I was rewarded an actium war rig. Today, I had an exotic drop during gambit prime, which decided on the spot into a hallow fire heart, and shortly after when I finished my heroic adventure on the edz, I got a one eyed mask. I highly doubt that the "exotic duplicate drop protection" works. Anyone else have similar experiences?

Simple answer is ...No.

3 RepliesEdited by TuxyDoh: 3/22/2019 2:58:53 AMNo it is not. Drops are weighted to give new items, however, as you gather exotics the odds of your getting a duplicate rises as you have more than you dont have. There is no protect that prevents duplicates.
