The idea is what if there was a collection of terminals in the Hangar that took you to an in-game menu with Bungie's LFG system basically copy and pasted into the game directly?
Its just like the difference between D1 grimiore system and D2 Y2's system: It would be more accessible for more people.

Back in D1, players complained about having only 3rd party sites for LFG. Bungie implements an in app lfg. People still complain. Bungie implements guided games, guess what.... idiots still complain. Is it Bungies fault one can’t make their own friends? It seems like many of these whiners are just too lazy to make the effort. It seems like they need their hand held and brought to each activity. The easiest thing for these players to do is... pay someone to do an activity.

Bungie refuses to have matchmaking! Every game has it, there is nothing wrong with it. Bungie has some bizarre and twisted idea that people like using lfg. Its the same thing. Division 1 and 2 has matchmaking for everything, it makes players near your lvl a priority invite. Its so easy to do it’s absurd.

2 RepliesIt’s called matchmaking and is present in every other looter shooter out there, sadly bungie cater to elitist pricks and preaches “our content is to hard for random’s to complete”. (Satire) But that’s just an extreme view, in reality it’s that certain modes were not made in a way so everyone could take part. The raids look cool and are interesting but unlike other mmo’s there is just 1 difficulty, had they made a simpler normal mode that’s more forgiving and a harder version, then we could have matchmaking for the casual mode and pre-made teams for the hard mode. However the rewards would have to differ given the difficulty difference. This would also help train casuals in raid mechanics. Nightfall needs to have matchmaking regardless, it’s not even a challenge and it would help with those aiming for nightfall loot drops (curse you rng lol)

When it was asked for 5 years ago we didn’t get it. Don’t see why they would do it now. Unless their streamer convention mentions that it’s needed I doubt it’ll ever occur. Bungie is all about having their players waste their time on a phone or website to find people to lay rather than in the game on the console they bought the game for.

You mean like... A clan?

you mean clan, friends.

Destiny should have had an in game lfg feature years ago.... but we all know how pathetic bungie is. It really wouldn’t be difficult to implement, could be on one of our tab pages or at kiosk in tower to create post. There could be a notification filter to notify you when others post for same activity. I mean the possibilities would be endless and in no way harm anything. Really is crazy there is no in game lfg feature yet.

3 RepliesThey tried that.

Edited by NomadEnigma4154: 3/21/2019 10:59:57 AM[I made another post regarding this, and I agree. I actually see it as a way for them to include the forums and what not as the VanNet, as is hinted at in the pulled pork lore cards. But yeah, having that for strikes and stuff would be awesome, and I actually have a basic idea of how to do it.] [edit: is it ok if I add your post in a feedback poll I made regarding the issue? It would include my basic idea.]

Never going to happen.

Very good idea.

I feel like a lot of people don't understand why an in game recruitment system would be good. Yes, the app is excellent. Everytime I've used the app to find a fireteam it's quick and convenient; being able to send invites from the app is a godsend. But do you know what would be even better? If I never had to open the app in the first place. I'd love it if I could just log onto Destiny 2, select a fireteams button from the directory, and then browse other peoples fireteams, or create one of my own. I think It's extremely bizarre that nearly 5 years into the Destiny franchise, a game series about co-perating with other players over the internet, there still isn't some sort of recruitment system within the game itself to facilitate said co-operation.

6 RepliesA lot of the issues, as I see them, stem from the lack or reward for helping others. Also the requirements that people put on LFG push others away so they never have an opportunity to learn. They all expect a minimum of knowledge (which experience provides far better than vids) and an expectation of fast runs. I was in a group who did an LFG and if someone had a single red dot they were bounced... that is way excessive. Those things kill stuff like this.

Yeah it's called guided games Which was a Bungo from day 1
-
How about like a wall down where cayde used to be in the hangar where we can squad with other guardians
-
1 ReplyI don't know if you noticed but people hate options that's why there aren't any in this game. Options is the DEVIL!!!!!!
-
Yeh wouldn't be a bad idea. Put it next tot he terminal/bounty board where I can get all the bounties and don't have to travel around for 10 mins collecting bounties.
-
Xbox has its own lfg but a in game lfg doesn't sound bad
-
Always thought about this. Perhaps a place in the tower where there'd be different sections for activities to LFG for?

6 RepliesIt would let people especially solo people play more content! Look at the division 2 it has matchmaking for everything! And it is by far better! Not to mention maybe people that usually play in teams has nobody else on at the time to play with! Trust me most of us do not need guided games for nightfalls! Add matchmaking already! No not for nightfalls but tier 3 reckoning come on now this is the biggest joke!

1 ReplyI agree with this 100% this should happen right now! I am sick and tired of being a solo and have to look for a team to do a simple nightfall this is a joke but they can match make for tier 3 reckoning!
