I have played Destiny from the original release of Destiny 1. Time and time again I have seen Bungie remove good things to make us play with what they want. E.G. pulse rifles were laughed at as a weapon now there the new go to weapon. they treat there. Players the same way they manipulate you into using one person. E.G. Season of the drifter. Gambit Prime is a PVP based activity. The amount of times you can invade is down right out of control. I don't like the idea of grinding to get a gear-set that only apples to one activity. If the future of Destiny is I need a new gear-set for everything I do, I am finished!
Destiny has ALWAYS been a trendsetter! Forsaken was good it brought back some of the old Destiny feel. However, the game has gone straight down from there. I am tired of losing my favorite weapons that I have had to grind my ass off to get the right roll only to see it get nerfed to the point of it is not even usable. I have a vault to prove all that!
While I am on the topic of nefering and Bungie making us change ting things, what is up with the Hunters? This all started back in D1 when you turned them into cowards introducing the bow! (stand still so I can shoot you after I nullify you and remove your sight) this was one of the most disappointing supers I have seen! But I was proven wrong with the release of D2 and the new supers through DLC's Bungie has shown us (the players) the Hunter is the Guardian of choice. There supers are not only way over powered but the get them incredibly fast compared to other Guardians. They are next to NEVER nerfed, however they are continuing to be the leaders of buff. Yes, I know they buff some of the other Guardians supers, but six months later they nerf them back leaving the Hunter alone. YES, this is a bit of a sore spot with me because I FIRMLY feel if all Guardians were on the same playing field the PVP would actually be fun. when you cast a super you should be able to easily destroy other Guardians with it but when you get your super twice as fast as everyone else it becomes one sided and BORING!
Just for the sake of conversation I have one of each. I do not prefer the Hunter's jump, so I don't use him much. but when I do I clearly see the HUGE difference. While I’m on this rant why is it EVERY time there is ANYTHING that is considered too good in the crucible is nerfed if it is not HUNTER related? E.G. Titan hammers, or the Warlock void supers. Yes, the Hunters new void super got a very small nerf, but at the same time they received a HUGE buff in armor while invisible, they are darn near invincible!
I write this due to frustration with the game and what they are doing with it, I am a faithful player I play EVERY DAY. I have lost my fire team, they are just as frustrated as I am, however they gave up! I cannot blame them, as I am very near to doing the same. I have gone as far as to delete my clan after years and start a new one thinking I could get new people to join. But there are no new people to join! So, I continue to solo, don't even get me started on how horrible the matchmaking is! I can only hope Division 2 is good. Sorry Bungie you will no longer be getting my hard-earned money for your merchandise or your promises of a better game. I thank you for a great game concept and truth be told I had some REAL FUN (mostly in D1) GOOD LUCK!
I leave with this thought: time and time again we are told "we have listened to the community" and "these changes are based on community feedback" just what community are you referring to?
I know that this will never be seen by anyone and not change a thing. But it makes me feel better to have closure!
