PSA: Anthem might brick your console!
If you play on PS4 and you play Anthem, be aware there is multiple reports that Anthem might cause your system to completely power off and possibly leave it inoperable! No word on it happing to Xbox.

24 RepliesMan...my own personal opinions of the game aside, this is a huge blow to EA. The reception for Anthem is basically worst case scenario. They are so -blam!-ing lucky that Apex came out just before this happened. If not for Apex to appease the shareholders, this could’ve been the death blow for EA as we know it.

3 RepliesSo far only one person has reported that their PS4 has died while playing Anthem - which given that there are 80+ million PS4s out there in the world is a statistical likelihood. Glad I didn't buy this shitshow of an EA game. All it's done so far is show how greedy they are. 6 years, probably turned into 1 year of rush time from a greedy EA CEO. There is no way in hell Bioware is gonna survive this, I guarantee it. EA is gonna shut them down for "not meeting expectations."

I'll play Left Alive. Although going by the reviews that's not exactly in the greatest place either.

Not really planning on playing anthem, but Yong Yea is pretty funny. The dude says he wants Anthem to succeed and for BioWare to not be shut down, yet he nit picks and seizes every opportunity to tear down Anthem. I’m no fan of EA and I wish they would be restructured, I just think Yong is interesting😂

My take away from all of this Both developers and console teams (Sony/Microsoft) should’ve been the ones finding these issues Yet both the Devs (BioWare) and console teams did such a half baked job testing out Anthem that it shipped with so many broken bugs. How can a game like this make its way onto console storefronts?

So reports have said its because the hard drives are working hard and overheating. I'm on external h/d and touch wood I've not had a problem with the game at all.

Yes this will happen. It happened to me.last week. The game is just broken. Every time I try to play there is some stupid glitch. I tried to play last Sunday and for some reason could not pick up open anything in free play. I switched javalins and did a mission. Towards the end of the mission we had to defend an area. This went on for over 40 min until one of the other players told.me.we were stuck in a loop. We had to all die.and restart. It took about 5 min for.the enemy to kill me. We restarted and it only took 2 or 3 min to.do.the part we were stuck in. This is said for a AAA game to be this bad. I'm done with anthem. Thank God we have some new stuff to do in destiny tommorrow.
