Please let us play Iron Banner all the time!
I'm a relatively new player, and I learned pretty early on to stay out of quick play. Getting crushed repeatedly is no fun.
I had assumed IB was more of the same, but I went in hoping that it would be easier to complete my Last Word quest there. I was right, and surprisingly I had a great time.
Getting matched against players at roughly the same skill makes a huge difference. I'm sure my gunfights would have been pretty comical to watch by someone good, but it was fun!
Also, I think having light level matter makes a big difference because it ensures people play a good amount of pve as well. So they're not just strictly pvp-only hardcore players.
I played a lot of pvp this week and had a great time, which is something i thought I would never say. Please please please give us this play list every week...

2 RepliesIron Banner is one of the only playlists that still has Skill Based Matchmaking. This is why you are being matched up with people closer to your skill level. Typically, better players (say, ones with NF) like to fight people who are at a lower skill level than them. Because there is region based matchmaking right now, it makes it possible. This is why you get matched up with people who pubstomp in quickplay. It's annoying, but less laggy at least. I hope they implement some choice system that allows you to select SBMM if you want. Or a hybrid matchmaking system of skill and region matchmaking. That would be amazing.

2 RepliesI like it the way it is. But I wish they would add a second Iron Banner event that uses Glory Rank and is 3v3 Lockdown. So that Competive players could have a Competive version of Iron Banner.

Sadly, Iron Banner was my favorite activity in D1. In D2, I rarely even bother as PVP has become so bad.

2 RepliesThe only way you consistently get pulverized in QP is if you are REALLY bad. If you're really bad at destiny, perhaps you should try to improve (comp is great for this). There are small number of really bad players. There are a small number of really great players. Most people are in the average category. These are the people you'll find most in QP. Just the numbers.

2 RepliesIron Banner has been a once a month event since it was introduced in Destiny 1. With everything they've changed with D2, I'd hope they keep at least this one tradition alone.
