PSA - Dont buy mod components from ADA
Such a ripoff for 25 gunsmith parts and 3 shards. 250 parts and 30 shards then just for 1 mod
Go into your collection and just spam create blue guns and then scrap them. Costs 250 glimmer and 3 gunsmith parts, then when you scrap it you get 100 glimmer + 2 gunsmith parts back.
I've done this for hundreds of guns and at worst you'd get 1 mod per 10 guns (costs 30 to make, 20 back = 10 gunsmith parts per component) but on average somewhere around 6 scraps per component = 6 gunsmith parts. Each mod will now cost only about 900 glimmer and 60 gunsmith parts. On top of this you'd get scrapper bounties to get cores
I just let these build up and knock them out with multiple bounties
Lost sectors + spider bounties + BA bounties & frame farming
All the crucible ones + crucible bounties + Clan bounties + weekly/daily milestones
All the strike ones + vanguard bounties + weekly/daily milestones
Do your building and scrapping on Mondays so you get extra quest turn ins for Hawthorne on top of the guaranteed resets so you're getting bonus cores just from doing your normal weekly reset stuff

The fact that you even feel it necessary to perform such a mind numbing task is further proof that the economy in this game continues to be broken. Why play a strike or a PvP match or even just a public event when you could be dismantling blues all day...🙄

4 RepliesHonestly, I think a lot of people know about that method but would jump at the chance to escape another empty grind (in your inventory menu no less) that they'll just pay Ada's jacked up prices. What's even more effed up is you're going to used those overpriced mod components to buy RNG based mods so you have like a 1 in 10 something chance of getting that Rampage mod you want. LOL What I wish someone would do is weight the rarity of the mods from Ada. Because that rampage mod is suppose to have the same chances of dropping as much as that sprint grip but I'm betting that's not the case.

Its mind numbingly boring and tedious to use that method. Doing that for just 15 minutes feels like an hour and it kills my brain cells so im fine just buying them from ada.

They should just lower the cost at ada/the gunsmith so we don’t go out of our way with tedious roundabout methods. Those scum bags really need to let go of their precious artificial grind sometimes.

Do you value your materials or your time more? I have 5 frames to do tonight before reset, so I have less time. If I have nothing to do, no spider economy to abuse, etc., collection spamming is where it's at. Also, collection spam is in no way 100% going to give you components. Highly likely, but not a sure thing.

2 RepliesPretty sure she sells mods you can't get anywhere else. Never have gotten rampage or dragonfly mods any source other than from her. That's probably why they cost so much.
