Izagani's Burden quest is basically undoable at this point
Just pretty frustrated, got to the pyramidion nightfall part. Took me about an hour to find a group (on multiple discords and websites) that would do it with me, only to discover that the mission can only be done with those on the quest step or who have done it already (afaik), meaning that as a solo player I cannot get Izanagi's Burden until I find someone (or two people) on the quest step or done it already who are willing to do a nightfall they don't have any reason to do, which I highly doubt will happen. I love this game so much, but this is just awful design. Please change this or fix it, thanks.

At this point it's too late for them to make another sweeping change to how the forges work. Don't give up so easily, be ruthless. You will find that fireteam you need if you keep looking. Keep up on here, on the LFG forums here, on reddit, on any number of free LFG apps available on all operating systems, join a clan, ask people in heroic strikes upon finishing, use the built in LFG function on Xbox. You got this. Eyes up guardian.

These quest step strikes should have matchmaking. This has needed to happen since D1.

If you’re on Xbox, LFG is a great place to find people with a common goal! Or you can look here in fireteams. Just a couple other options.
