Wayfarer Seal/ Braytech weapons loot pool is broken
I am one braytech sidearm from getting my seal but the rng associated with this is insane. You get one resonate stems from relevant activities, 2 from a heroic. If you are doing lost sectors over and over you can get enough for 3 or 4 nodes in an hour. Maybe if you do it one schematic per day this will be enough. Maybe not. But if you turn that schematic in most likely you will get a duplicate. It is insane to lock a triumph behind RNG this ridiculous. I’m missing out on all the other activities and getting burnt out on the game. Tons of people have been complaining about this. Mars is old content, the system should give you a new weapon until you’ve got all four. I don’t mind the osprey being rng in a nightfall but just to get a sidearm I’ll never use I’m wasting hours each day and never seem to get any exotics so I’m gaining nothing. A triumph should signify an accomplishment, not luck. If the EP armor gives a new one with each chest opened I don’t understand how this gun becomes a bigger grind than Luna. Please do something about this.

Just got my 18 Kelvins and Wayfarer yesterday. If you're good at jumping and long distance gap spanning you can clear Ma'adim Subterrane in under a minute from when the zone switches. Add in travel time from the landing zone, shoule be able to get 20+ stems an hour easy.

3 RepliesI know this sounds stupid, but a friend advised me after months of grinding to hold all the Braytech weapons you have while turning in the engram. 2nd engram I opened this was was the Winter Wolf I'd been grinding for so long. Again, likely didn't really effect it, but it's worth a shot.

Then, the appropriate nightfall rolls around, and you run it 60 times. All the while, watching 3, I said 3, other players get it. They got it because they needed other items as well for the seal. I didn't get it, because it's all I need. Check this out... Ran Tree of Probabilities Tuesday, one time.... DFA drops on that run. O.o

Agree but taking it one further as I absolutely DO mind a title/seal being locked behind one specific nightfall exclusive item. Winter Wolf and Osprey are the main things in my way for Wayfarer (have a few random triumphs that I cannot be bothered w unless I get those) and I just don’t really want to grind on nearly year-old content any more. If they would put those weapons in the EP loot pool tho... oh man I would be chaining supers to -blam!- up the Hive all day every day.

Completely agree. I honestly don't understand why the RNG is so messed up for these weapons. I run fireteam medallions, equip the weapons I have in the hope it will drop the one I need. Nope.

What worked for me is to do the sleeper quest on my other 2 characters I got all the guns I needed from that

I finally got the sniper a couple of weeks ago, and got my wayfarer. It took FOREVER. I still don’t have all the nodes. It’s ridiculous.

I've had 10 frigid Jackals out of my last 11 schematics. I've given up. I've used around 1200 stems recently. I simply can't waste my time any more.

You're going to hate me bu 18 Kelvins dropped from the first node for the Polaris questline, then the sniper from the next, then the scout a couple days later, and Winter wolf right after. Holy crap I LOVE Winter Wolf so much!

Got my Wayfarer doing a schematic a day, if you try and do any more than one schematic, it drastically decreases your chances the next day; 1 a day, then reset, finish the Nascent Dawn 1/5 quest (3 Patrols) to get another schematic on both your other characters, make sure you have the previous weapons in your inventory (this worked for countless people if not the first time but the second time including me no idea how or why but it does) 5-10 nodes should be a schematic each day! Good Luck friend!

Took me 3 months and over 1000 sleeper nodes to get the 18 Kelvins. Good luck mate 👍🏻

Have the other weapons in your inventory when turning in a schematic. Look at guides on getting all of these weapons.

Wait a few days or even a week between opening sleeper nodes. Makes your schematic drop rate increase in my experience

Just keep doing patrols I used 3 slots of 999 resonant stems to get my weapons

I spent about 900 resonant stems getting my winterwolf for wayfarer. Garbage system for titles requiring grinding a garbage rng system for weapons you'll never even use in y2.

Why is this still a problem? I gotta waste hours upon hours collecting nodes one at a time just to get slapped in the face with rng? Really bungee?

I burned through about 100 nodes and still no Friged Jackal. Sad face.

Well you can have some of mine, i keep getting side arms, i need the auto rifle and i am done.! To be honest i have stopped playing, just burnt out. the grind has finished me off. its just got too tedious.!
