Here we go, now that telesto and wavesplitter aren't a problem anymore all we're going to see is how the new problem is Lunas/Nf.
Then its going to be any pulse rifle that can roll with kill clip.
Then its going to be fully automatic shotguns.
Then its going to be the fact that OEM + Ace Of Spades is a two tap crit kill.
Even Redrix with desperado has a lower ttk than Luna/NF and everyone has access to it.
Nobody is ever going to admit that maybe, just maybe, for once in their life, its not BS and they just got outgunned because the other player is better regardless of gun choice.
EDIT: Also you either are lying about having a Not Forgotten or you have a Bought Forgotten/ Got carried to 5400 because there is no way you made it there with a 1.1 comp KD and your QP KD isn't much higher which means despite having a not forgotten you still cant preform in QP
Edit 2: I actually hope these guns do get nerfed, i cannot wait to see the excuses all these garbage players have for being farmed. If its not X like we thought well then it must be Y and Z! nerf Y and Z ! Its just going to be one ongoing loop of nerfs and imbalances for the simple fact that garbage players cannot admit that they are garbage. Period.

Well pulse rifles have slower ttk than luna and compete with auto rifles and scouts for the mid range, so it would be more balanced. But hey, I guess it’s better to just not change anything because a broken crucible is just so fun.
-
Pulse rifles do not compete with autorifles and scouts at all, pulse rifles destroy both of those weapons, and god roll pulse rifles have a ttk only slightly higher than lunas while keeping almost triple the range. Lunas outside of 35m range is god awful. It teally isnt a game changing gun at all.
-
Do you know that bygones kills slower than most auto rifles and that blast furnace is very unforgiving? Auto rifles can compete at mid range and scouts at long. And now with the buff autos are a lot more forgiving. I believe that if luna or 180s were nerfed we would have a more diverse meta.
-
I’m tired of hearing the comeback of “they’re better and could win regardless of gun choice”. That has been so outplayed. Luna/NF make bad players and good players better plain and simple. Put a 140, 150, or 110 in their hands and see how much worse they consistently play compared to having Luna/NF equipped. That’s the truth. Now having said that I do not disvalue the work put in to get those weapons legitimately or the actual skill of the player. But just realize the ease of use of all 180s because of very controllable recoil and high stability. Then top it off with minimal flinch received while using but inducing high amounts of flinch to opponents. I don’t really want to see these weapons nerfed rather reworked to require a bit more skill to use.

Edited by Crucify: 2/6/2019 9:23:56 AMIt's 100% true though, i'm tired of hearing bad players complain about guns rather than their lack of skill. Everything in this game is being run into the ground with nerfs because people feel entitled to being on the same skill level as everyone else without actually being on the same skill level as everyone else. There is ALWAYS going to be a meta and there are always going to be one or two or three guns that sh!t on everyone. Even if everyone was running the exact same gun people would still be getting farmed. Just like in the graviton/antiope meta, the difference then was everyone had access to the same gun so it literally and logically had to have boiled down to individual player skill as opposed to the "he has a better gun than me, pls nerf" There was a time where every single player that currently has a lunas, did not have a lunas and had to face other players that already had a lunas in order to get their own, clearly the gun is fvcking counterable.
-
You just reinforced my point by bringing up graviton lance. That weapon dominance shined so bright because it was so damn easy to use, hella strong, with zero drawbacks. Weapons like that need tuning or else you have a crap meta just like then and now.
-
And yet garbage players using graviton were still garbage players so no, i didn't reinforce your point at all.
-
Yet in a literal sense you did. We’re not talkin about bad players vs good players with the exact same weapon. We’re talkin about bad/good players with Luna/NF vs players without it or ones that just choose to not use it. You have to see their dominance and if you choose not to then that’s just ignorance.
-
Not at all. i can use trust and do just as well against lunas.
-
I listed 180s as being a general ease of use all together. That whole archetype rules console because like I said multiple times, stupid easy to use. Throw in the ability to 3 tap over 4 tap it’s a no brainer to be better, common sense.
-
Bet on it, both will be nerfed
-
I agree with you, you either get hate for running the weapon or have to hear people complain about it. I actually think at this point they’ve just become scapegoats for people being frustrated that they can not obtain them. The introduction of TLW was smart as it offers the best optimal and body shot TTK’s within its effective range and I have a feeling the Thorn will have around A 0.7 TTK and similar range to a Not Forgotten. I’m happy for more strong weapons to be introduced but these guns should be left alone and people should stop moaning about them, even a NF can be outplayed if you’re smart enough.
-
They have been seen as a problem since Forsaken launched. Where have you been?
-
Lmao... not a new problem, where have you been?
-
They are never going to balance all of these weapons. All I know is shotguns have been and are broken. Telesto was something to counter them, not anymore. I'm not sure what the purpose of The Last Word is when a shotgun kills in 1 shot at last words effective range. PVP is a joke. At this point it is the laughing stock of the first person shooter world. Games on original xbox had more pvp game types and options.
-
To be fair though wavesplitter and telesto were never a problem lol. I killed a few with grenades last week. Holy shit grenades must be sooooo op. When is the grenade nerf coming bungie. Can't have other guardians killing other guardians in pvp. How dare they lol
-
OEM and shotties are already issues, but they're just as bad as LH/NF. LH affects literally every gunfight you get in, while Kill Clip is a short lived reward for winning one gunfight. Imagine a pulse that had kill clip damage literally all the time, that's the issue with LH. It makes other weapons just obsolete because it's just got an incredibly fast ttk with very low skill requirement, and almost no downsides.
-
There is an abundance of weapons with equal or faster TTK than lunas. Casual PvPers absolutely need to stop blaming their lack of skill on what gun the more skilled player is using. I literally swapped from Lunas/Dustrick to Trust/Chaperone and i'm still murdering people and outgunning other lunas. It's really not that difficult.
-
While you can outgun LH users, 9/10 it's because the LH user was inaccurate or made a bad play. I'm saying that if I'm playing against players "skilled" enough to hit two headshots and one body with a handcannon with high AA, I'm forced to use LH myself or spam special ammo because the majority of primaries cannot keep up with the ease of use/consistency of LH. There are guns with faster/similar ttks as LH, but typically they're all less consistent than LH. It's harder to hit 100% precision shots with a pulse than the two headshots one body of LH. LH is all the reward with none of the risk. And how honorable of you, switching from the most meta loadout in the game to an extremely above average loadout. As a player, I enjoy using different weapons all the time, Suros, Crimson, Sturm/Drang, etc. LH and shotties in general are too dominant due to their non-existant skill ceiling that it makes switching loadouts punishing.
-
Crucible's broken, sweeties ruin the game, and matchmaking should be based off KD.
-
yes dude i know and you're right. i would admit defeat when i get outgunned by a weapon. i have Luna's howl and yet i don't use it much. it about skill. but think about it, the Luna's howl and Not Forgotten have so much stability that i can be hit at two sides and still kill the one right in front of me. 180 hand-cannons are dominating crucible to the point where that 150's, 140's, and 110's are being drowned out. that and players who don't have the meta weapons are constantly being destroyed and outgunned. Hell i have a friend who is so good that i respect him and i go with him in comp, but he doesn't have forsaken, he doesn't have annual pass, he forced to run with the basic weapons from base destiny 2 and he is constantly being outgunned and outmatched. i can't even 1v1 him because i have a retold tale and a blast furnace. he doesn't want to buy the dlc's because he hates that.

Edited by Lord_Shar: 2/6/2019 12:41:01 AM
Even Redrix with desperado has a lower ttk than Luna/NF and everyone has access to it.
This is only true after an initial precision kill. Until then, Redrix is still trapped with the worst possible 340RPM High Impact Pulse archtype. Bungie has no plans to fix this archtype either -- they are perfectly content with its stinky arm-pit performance.
-
It doesn't matter, it has a prerequisite for a higher TTK just like Lunas, you miss your first crit with Lunas and it's automatically a regular 180 hand-cannon. People just really love to point fingers and whine.
-
Hitting a crit vs a kill are two different things genius. Grow a brain please.
