I went from 33% to 1% in 2 matches. Granted that I did spawn into 2 matches that my team was losing so everyone started leaving. So I'm salty about that, but I'm not complaining. But situations like that is a little annoying. But overall people are making a bigger deal about this than they should be.
I mean a lot of the quest from D1 were way harder and time consuming than this and a lot of us still did it. I don't care much for pvp but I'm not against it. It can be fun sometimes and working towards a quest and the feeling of accomplishment when you finally get the loot is one of the best parts of this game.

I feel ya. I went from 27% to 13% in 2 games. Won't be participating in any more of these types of quests where connection can make or break your time to complete. Apparently Bungie has zero people on staff capable of any sort of common logic. To make matters worse, we have too may people spreading disinformation in the forums to be of any use. Dear Bungie, In a balanced PVP game 3 factors come into play : Skill, Gear, and Connection. If all 3 of these are equal then the outcome is 1 to 1. If any of these factors is off, like say the opposing player is in another country ( cough cough 3 games against central america on potato connections ), then the deviation will begin to show up. In the case of your current quest line... A .5 KD is a 10% LOSS, 1.2 KD is a 4% LOSS, and KD of 2.0 is break even. Every game today has been filled with central american players, who apparently are god since they take zero damage from anyone NOT in central america. Total failure in design and implementation on your part. Good luck in your future endeavors since this is squarely on you no longer associated with Activision.
