I love the exotic bows available in the game, Trinity Ghoul does chain lightning after precision hit, Le Monarque does lingering void poison damage with a poison cloud explosion on perfect draw with precision hit. The solar bow should have something equally as cool. What perk should it have on perfect draw?

Cauterizing Arrows- Arrows explode on impact, burning enemies in a small AoE radius or restoring a small amount of health to friendly guardians caught in the explosion.

1 ReplyEdited by Dredged Yor: 1/26/2019 7:56:03 AMName: Remembrance Exotic perk: The Rose colored lens. Landing a headshot sends you back to D1. You realize things weren't as perfect as you remember so you stop complaining about how much more superior it is over D2.

It makes the opponent fall in love with you then they explode and guts fly everywhere

5 RepliesHow about a Heavy bow that shoots mini Valkyries, that upon precision kills spawns SIVA nanites
I'd call it The Tyrant's Wrath, and let is randomly drop from a Heroic 7th wave EP (Heroic EPs would require a consumable you get from Ana that you enter into the EP node and then it make the EP wave the same light level as your Guardian, and drops Warmind Grade Mods, EP set Armor with perks, and some new IKELOS Weapons...)
The MP one would actually be broken/game changing. Wouldn’t mind seeing something like this tried out/implemented

1 ReplyCrit kills summon a bolt of fire like thunderlord except with fire.
-
Lingering flame trails that cause burn
-
Ricochet rounds with an explosion on any bounce or hit.
-
I like the Melting Point idea, as op as it would be. Melting Point for the next hit would be fine tho.

Overpenetrates targets, sets enemies on fire, and explodes when hitting a wall.

A napalm trail with overpenetrating arrows would be very cool but I don’t think Bungo could handle it. I’m open to one that deals abnormal amounts of explosive damage, though. Would be fun to drop those out of the sky or finish off that one dude who hides in a corner with a shotgun while his health regens.

Two ideas, both Heavy Exotic Bows. I would say a heavy bow should have ammo reserves similar to rocket launchers or linear fusions. 1) Gravity Well. On impact there is a detonation similar to that of a grenade launcher, but it also generates a micro star that pulls surviving enemies towards it for a short period of time. (similar to the scourge arc lanterns.) Contacting the micro star inflicts burn damage. 2) Heavy Utility Caster. A three fire mode exotic, similar to hard light where holding down the reload changes the firing type. - Explosive Utility mode, impacts detonate like a rocket with explosive radius and damage. - Puncture Utility mode, impacts over penetrate like Wishender but with heavy scale damage (maybe linear fusion type dmg). - Self Defense Utility mode, bow is wielded like a sword for close quarters combat Other utility mode ideas may be better than these, suggest your own.

Precision hits create tactical nukes that kill everyone on the field and automatically win you the game. Jk. Maybe more along the lines of precision hits create embers of solar energy that splatter over a large area, dealing burn damage to those that get caught in them. Kills create an explosion of embers that stick to any surface and cause burn damage to anything that goes through them.

1 ReplyAny of them, but also shooting allies instead heals them / grant overshield. Aarows would be made of energy obviously so as to not look goofy shooting allies with physical ones.
-
firestar. On a headshot it creates a mini solar grenade that does damage over time.

4 RepliesThe longer the bow is drawn, the more damage it does.

Arrows leave a trail that will last for 10 or so seconds. Inflicts burn damage when stepped through and marks the target who walks through. The arrows can be fired into a wall and will turn into a solar tripmine.
-
1 ReplyLight things on fire. Other players that will then catch their team tea on fire, shoot the ground a wall and have it be on fire too.
-
1 ReplyI'd rather see a completely unique effect, maybe multiple flame trails like a cone behind the arrow that puts a dot on anything it touches + overpenetration?
-
8 RepliesWhen you land a headshot hit the arrow should come back and be added to the next arrow you fire and let it stack repeatedly. Resets on a kill. It's a DPS bow that you'd have have about as easy a time 1 tapping an enemy as you would 2 tapping either Luna. Where you'd have to proc the perk on one guy and then hit a different one.
