Can bungie change iron banner to make level advantage disabled like every other game mode, it's super annoying to play this when everyone is doing more damage than you just because they're a higher power than you.
-
Iron Banner should have the level advantages removed. It made sense when you could only get the highest powered gear from raids and the hardest events. It would give the most dedicated or best players a power advantage encouraging other people to try out the harder end game events to keep up. But now you do some simple daily missions that even the most casual player can do. It's just used to force people to buy DLC and lock older players out of content. If somebody thinks there is a point currently they have their head up their own ass.

6 RepliesEdited by TattooedOni: 1/19/2019 10:01:58 AMLight level enabled causes 2 major drawbacks that are negative enough to outweigh any perceived positive: 1) It introduces more lag into an already laggy PvP environment. 2) It segments the population further by creating a rift between Forsaken players and Base game players that is way too obviously a scam to get more players to buy Forsaken. Base game players are essentially power locked (250+ level disadvantage for max power players) out of an activity they paid for (as its listed as a base game feature). That makes Bungie look greedy and shady in a way that’s hard to argue they aren’t.
-
Don’t believe anyone who says it’s ‘end game content’. It’s there to try and force people into buying Forsaken. It serves no other purpose other than to segregate the player base.

Many people really want to remove aspirational gameplay from gaming. The answer to your complaint is obvious.

1 ReplyThen why make a different game mode if it's the same exact as the other game modes?

5 RepliesNo, they can't. They tried it without level advantages when D2 first dropped and the playerbase HATED IT! There is no point in playing IB if you are not in the 600+ power level range. Just go play QP Crucible. There is also no point in winning IB. Most of the weekly bounties have no bearing on winning or losing and turning in tokens will not get you any gear that helps you level up your power.

6 RepliesIf you don’t like it, don’t play it. The whole purpose of an ENDGAME PVP EVENT is for it to reward those IN THE ENDGAME level range. If you aren’t in that range, don’t play it.

5 RepliesHey look. Iron banner isn't about skill. it's about power. Plus... streamers might complain if they actually fix this. If we are being honest, power matters being enabled was just designed to punish people who don't buy everything Bungie puts out.

2 RepliesThat’s the entire point of iron banner

Apply yourself

Why? I'm a PvE lord and this is my one chance to actually see (artificial) success in pvp.
-
Why? I went in with my hint below 600 and almost 645. It is not hard to play or hard to get kills.

Iron banner has always been really dumb. Even in D1 it was stupid. A pvp event where the person who plays the game more and has a higher light lvl wins 8 out of 10 times.........yea.......really awesome idea bungo. Just another activity that makes the try hard douchebags feel good about themselves just because they play the game an extra 5+ hours a day compared to your average player. I also always love the jack asses who chime in with their echo chamber comments like "well that's just how it's always been" or "it's part of the lore" LOL. Give me a frican break. It's just really dumb. Always has been.

Can bungie change iron banner to make level advantage disabled like every other game mode, it's super annoying to play this when everyone is doing more damage than you just because they're a higher power than you.
LOLz, there is always QP. IB is not the only option, QP is still available.

2 RepliesI agree keeps to many people out of it

4 RepliesYou're not being punished for trying to level up. You're being strained for trying to level up QUICKLY. The next Iron Banner, people will complain about being stomped on by you LoL. You'll be fine, yo. What system are you on? I'm ass at pvp but am happy to get you through some pve stuff to get your light up.

That's called crucible, play that if you don't want levels to be a thing, if not push those numbers up.

everyone is doing more damage than you just because they're a higher power than you.
This is how it should be. If I'm higher level I should do more damage.

48 RepliesLevel up buttercup. The IB is no place for weaklings.

1 ReplyEdited by TheFishSauce: 1/17/2019 7:44:46 PMThis is literally the thing that makes IB fun for me. Even when I was waaaaay below power cap I loved IB. Getting a win in that environment is a much bigger rush than anything regular Crucible has to offer.
