Boring meta is boring

No. Because I still top leaderboards with a sniper and a sidearm. Took a while for me to move from the bottom every game to the top but that challenge was fun in itself. Dont be a meta slave, find something you like for yourself.

1 ReplyI think after 4 years it's pretty clear there's always going to be a meta in a game like this. The only thing they can really do is speed up the sandbox changes. But those guys are some of the most "I won't make a decision without a pile of data" people in the Bungie building. They literally see a trend for a gun with a couple months of data, then say they're going to look at it, and then wait a couple more months to confirm the data is still saying the same thing. That's a great method for NASA, but here it's just too slow and things get stale.

2 RepliesAt least it isn’t the Uriel’s and mida meta (which I actually loved btw pvp was perfectly balanced but the real reason was because I got Uriel’s gift like first week of d1 before everyone knew it was so good)

13 RepliesI do wish Bungie would quit their constant boner for hand cannons. Also buff Autos and Scouts. I also personally think a weapon like Luna’s, which literally makes the best even better, wasn’t a good decision to bring into this game.

I would like to see guns get buffs. I think Luna is fine, and I don’t even have it. I think they just need to buff other weapons to be on its level. Fast TTK makes destiny fun. That’s just my opinion

16 RepliesUse Jotun and watch as guardians instantly morph from fighting juggernauts into harmless deer, as if caught in a vehicles headlamps! Even with no ammo, the morphing will still happen! Watch your k/d skyrocket as ammo consumption is reduced to almost nothing guardian! Enemy team rushing, no problem! One "quick" attack will make them ALL turn around and run like cockroaches when you turn the lights on. Jotun is soo powerful, only the "glove slap to the face" emote can bring the rampaging to an end.

You have shotguns, hand cannons, auto rifles, fusions, bows, grenade lauchers and pulses. If you are truly getting bored then switch up what you are using. No one is making you use the same guns over and over again.

7 RepliesA meta is always created by youtubers/streamers and their lazy followers who spread the word about a certain gun. You can always break the meta! Don't be the whiney kid on here who cries about what others use, find you own perfect setup! I agree that Lunas is strong, but for all the grind the guys did for that, they deserve a strong weapon imo.

1 ReplyI deal with these people with Orewings Maul then switch to a weapon with high handling. Concussion nades can still be dirty even after the nerf and can one shot kill whilst keeping things fresh and new. (Noone uses this weapon) Or use the first gun in D2. You'd think it was a shitty weapon but it gives you an incredible boost in mobility and landing your head shots will likely melt even an uriel/luna user whilst making those unoriginal metafgts feel like the festering pile of sh*t that they are. You may not get a high k/d but there's a sick satisfaction in killing people in crucible without resorting to what Bungie or the meta is telling you to use. So just keep using it, and if someone with lunas and a trench barrel shotty with a sniper/play of the game/wardriff brags that they have a 25 kd while you have... Idk. 10. Well at least you didn't have to use a meta to get your score. Hold your head high, Guardian.

Pulses, HCs, bows are all good right now. Autos and Scouts could use a little love. SMGs and sidearms are perfectly situational. Snipers are strong in the right hands. Shotties have always been and will probably always be good. Fusions could use a little love. Most heavies are good. Proximity det on grenade launchers should be unnerfed. Many exotics are viable. Overall, pretty open meta unless you're way at the top in comp. That, however, is true of any competitive game. The higher you climb, the stricter the meta gets. There will always be a meta but right now, a lot of things work for the normal crucible player.
