Great to see balanced match making in Iron Banner
I've seriously played 8 games in a row where my team has been subject to the mercy rule. I'm sorry but crucible is not designed for solo players. I don't care what Bungie says about how they make match making fair, if I solo queue I am CONSTANTLY put against 5 or 6 stack teams. It's ridiculous.

The second clans were introduced in D2 this stopped being a solo game. Here’s something you may not like, but it’s the truth. If you choose to be a solo player, you give up the right to be upset when others are not. A team of friends communicating in a party will always have the advantage over people that are not. This isn’t just for IB, but any pvp game mode in ANY game, not just Destiny. You know this when you choose to go into a team focused activity alone. This has been an issue since the beginning, and until Bungie addresses it, will always be an issue. So my suggestion is use the tools (this app, for example) to find other solo players to play with. You don’t have to join a clan if you really want that “solo” experience, but communication makes a world of difference.

I'm in the process of grinding out the 75 games for the Claymore and honestly the matchmaking for IB this time around has been pretty good....and yes I'm a solo player nearly exclusively.

1 ReplyI played for a couple hours last night with my clan. We had a 6 man team. We won some, we lost some. We invoked the mercy rule on other teams, other teams invoked it on us. Some matches were really close squeakers. It appears that the biggest influence is connection, not skill.

My issue is morning normal connections, good games, evening absolut bonkers with glitchy players all over the map.

I'm 100+ light levels low and playing solo with a pulse rifle and auto rifle. I'm hovering around 1.o even when my team gets spanked. Maybe different matching

Why do you choose to play against stacks of 5 or 6? I played 5 games last night and didn't run into one like that. If I see the counter jump from 1 to 6 or 7, I check the roster. If I see a large team, I just back out and restart matchmaking. It doesn't hurt anyone because you leave before the game starts.

Edited by DHawk12: 1/16/2019 6:25:10 PMIB is always a shit show, it needs fireteam matching integrated into MM just like comp needs it. I wont touch IB unless there are additional triumphs, pinnacle weapons or armor up for sale with enhanced perks. Im glad i finished triumphs last IB.

Right here is what happened destiny 2 gets released with sbmm and everybody plays at there skill level now quickplay had sbmm removed and people get put up against sweatys and hyper trytards and this drives down people’s KD lower than what they genuinely are and when iron banner rolls around you get put with people of your own kd. And there’s the reason why people are getting mercy ruled left right and centre.

1 ReplyThe problem with IB isn’t just match making. The real problem is with the players. Players don’t like to play the objective. If you don’t and get triple capped when everyone on the other team has Supers the game is going to get out of hand quick. Not only will they get triple the points, they start orb farming and it throws your teams spawns in disarray. Especially on the maps that were created for 4v4. Counting on RNG Rando’s is a whole lotta nope!

if you don't like playing against fire teams just leave the queue. i only play solo and that's what i do. fire teams of four or more, back out and search again. want to put me in a match in progress? no thanks i'll just back out before i touch down and search again. sure, it may take a while to find a game sometimes, but if bungie aren't going to change the matchmaking its up to you to make the current system work for you.
