Well, I give up. Facts don't mean anything and we should just delete the voidwalker from the game and buff the blade barrage.
Why do I say this? Well I've realised that although the super does everything for you as soon as you press the button, it doesn't do everything... I think the blade barrage should activate automatically as soon as you see someone. This way you get the kill/s and shards activate and give you super energy, hmm but the shards are too inconsistent...
Let's buff them too. Shards aren't consistent enough in giving me free super energy so we'll make it so that for every 1 kill, you get a quarter of super back! Nah, not good enough... The super has to be better cause it's just a one and done super after all... For every 1 kill you get your super back, and there's no longer a delay between killing and the perk activation! This way the game can activate my blade barrage for me and then do it again instantly if someone was lucky enough to survive or if someone respawns and walks around the corner!
Ooh, how bout the ability to shoot knives backwards to get those pesky little guardians who sneak around behind me. No line of sight required since the game will now be activating my super for me, we just need to be able to throw knives backwards without looking!
I think that's all we need right? Let's see...
To do list:
- nerf nova warp
- buff blade barrage
....
- take away sentinel shield block capacity.
1 ReplyI rather not have any panic super in the game to begin with

Nova Bomb needs a cast speed and super armour buff to bring it up to Blade Barrage level. So does Thundercrash. I do find it a bit ridiculous BB can be cast from above one end of a tunnel like structure, you can be up in the air above the other end of the tunnel and somehow it still kills you.

Edited by ム: 12/30/2018 10:14:27 PMSupers have never required skill. You pop it, you get at least one free kill against a normal opponent The biggest thing that everyone saying the same thing you’re saying forgets, is that supers are supposed to be super. Every class has a different role to play. Hunters have always been dps (original golden gun) and stealthy melee combat (blade dancer). Hunters are efficient killing machines, simple as that. Titans have always been the tanks. Need a wall? Here. Need a banner shield? There ya go. Here’s a rally barricade cause reloading dumb, I gotchyu. Wait we need to kill a big thing? Let me chuck some hammers at it. Oh there’s a lot of little things? My fists of havoc will have a talk with em. Warlocks, like it or not, have always been more of a support class than any of the others. Well of radiance is a perfect example. But beyond that, they’ve been given “space magic”. Which basically means a lot of really crazy outlandish supers. The point is, almost all of their abilities are in support of the other classes. To build on that last line: The warlock class ability is to put a rift down that can be used by all other players, offering health regeneration or increased damage. Titans pop down a barricade that can be used as cover by all other players, offering full body protection from a certain angle, or infinite ammo in their allies guns. Hunter’s class ability is in comparison, selfish, it’s to help them evade, help them regain their melee ability, or to reload their weapons. And to turn invisible as well if they’re a nightstalker. Main point We are not playing halo. We are not playing a game where as soon as you load in, you’re on the same level playing field as everyone else. (seeing 300’s in iron banner this week makes that pretty apparent) We are playing a game where every player is going to differ in one way or another, and that’s more than just based off the skill behind the controller. It’s the RNG behind the gear we’re all wearing. Each class has their strengths and weaknesses. I distinctly remember being given a choice between all three classes at the start of this game. At the start of d1 even. You are not your class, you are a human being choosing to play whichever class you want. And if all you care about is winning? Then pick the one that will help you win. take that for what you will Everything is your choice.

Just because we disagree that blade barrage is too powerful (which I guess you call fact even tho it’s complete opinion) doesn’t mean we think Nova bomb and thunder crash don’t need a buff. I’m in belief that nova warp is a super that is ridiculously difficult to counter and needs some blast radius tuning. One off supers have been trash and could use a buff to blade barrage’s level.

I must jus suck with BB can be 4 guardians n I'm lucky to hit 2
-
All of this sounds good. Get to work on pushing this through.
-
12 RepliesYou do realise the super is THE ONLY THING that is good on that subclass tree right. Meanwhile every part of the attunement of fission is godlike.
-
13 RepliesLiterally keep the damage and completely take away the tracking. It will be balanced then, only reason I hate it is because it tracks you across the map ontop of hitting you through walls..
-
2 RepliesNo one said you had to play the game. If you think blade barrage is so good then be a hunter!
-
Yeah. Go to d1 y3 . I think youll like it
-
1 ReplyMy problem with it is that it requires even less skill than I thought Nova Bomb did.
-
3 RepliesIf Blade Barrage is heavily nerfed I can't wait for scrubs like original post here complains about next. It'll be like D1 all over again. Thanks forum trash 😒
-
4 RepliesAt this point I don’t even care anymore, I know that once this gets nerfed people just move on to the next Hunter item and complain about that. Just wait soon enough we’ll be complaining about Way of the Pathfinder and Oathkeepers. So long as Blade Barrage doesn’t lose its damage in PvE I don’t care what happens to it.
-
2 RepliesThey will be tweaking pre forsaken subclasses. This is the worst case of ‘nerf rock, paper is fine, regards, scissors’ I’ve ever seen. Seriously just ask for a buff instead of nerfing other people’s fun.
-
5 RepliesEveryone on these forums. "We want every class to play the same and have the same abilities...please remove differences bungie" Go play CoD if you dont like differences. Sure i agree nova needs a big buff and have shatter/lance back....but stop trying to nerf other things.
-
1 ReplyMakes sense, unfortunately the majority of the community main a Pixie, so I would be surprised to see this post go above zero...
-
3 RepliesSo buff nova bomb and nerf fusion rifles... Got it.
-
13 RepliesAll the supers for all the characters is good. There is absolutely nothing wrong with any of the supers.
-
2 RepliesEdited by MindfulPizza: 12/28/2018 5:23:43 PMtill run into a full master work fire gear they , one shot or 2 shoot back . unless feel it trumps kids ways .?
-
4 RepliesSo use the fast nova bomb.
-
1 Reply
Blade barrage is too much of a good thing.
I've stopped using Blade Barrage in all but Gambit since Spectral Blades is so much better for crucible and forge add-control. Gwisin Vest also prolongs Spectral to well over a minute if enough targets are present.
-
Thanks in advance pvp whiners for the inevitable nerf. Much appreciated, you are making the game worse.
-
4 RepliesRanged, multi-target, tracking, AoE damage, insta-cast panic shutdown super that also does high single-target pve damage. Yup, completely balanced.
-
2 RepliesAgreed. Blade Barrage needs to be toned down
