Can you really say golden gun which has no AOE and requires pinpoint accuracy with no armor or movement speed of any kind while also having the shortest none instant super with one of the longer startup times is perfectly fine? PVP or PVE.
-
Biggest issue i have with it is the short time. Was a gunslinger main up until blade barrage and ended up swapping. Surely with the likes of nova warp and the now roaming super of fist of havoc, GG's timing should go back to how it was originally at least.
-
Deadeye should be inherent in both trees and Golden Gun needs another damage buff. If they make Deadeye inherent they could then add AoE Explosion for Outlaw (Sunshot effect). They should also add a team buff skill to Sharpshooter's precision damage skill that increases your team's range and accuracy.

I can say the super is fine yes (I’m assuming this is a PvP based complaint like most in these forums) as a gunslinger main. Pinpoint is relative with it’s aim assist being just a hair below queenbreakers. It’s hitscan, and has no drop of any kind so you point and shoot pretty simply. The six shooters fire rate is so fast I only lose super fights to good mid tree arc strippers, trade with hammer titans, and sometimes dawnblades. Sharpshooter goldie is tricky in super v super fights, it’s all or nothing for those headshots but hot damn are they rewarding. Otherwise, I’d say goldie needs a massive PvE damage buff, and the neutral games of sharpshooter and outlaw need some serious looking into. There’s ZERO synergy in way of the outlaw, and the damage of the melee ability is not rewarding at all. Tripmines also need to fucking detonate without any delay because if you run into the big red laser you shouldn’t be able to run out of it by accident.

If you like feeling crippled this super is kind of op for that

Absolutely.

2 RepliesDid you say pinpoint accuracy, do I need to dig out some footage of a player litterely flicking his joy sticks and hitting perfect shots? That thing couldn't miss a Pennie flying through the air, it makes queenbreakers hit box seem small.
-
1 ReplyHahaha hahaha. This is a joke right? This has to be a joke, I refuse to believe anyone thinks golden gun is a bad super, 6 potential shots with hit scan and insane range, a one shot to any non supered guardian, a 2 shot to most supered guardians. If any supers need buffs, literally every Titan super, even hammers are a joke compared to most supers the hunters and locks have.
-
I disagree. Pinpoint accuracy? It's a one hit kill on most ads and guardians wherever you hit them. In pve, yeah, the crits matter on bosses but if you're using it for that then you're best off running celestial nighthawk anyway which means you've got plenty of time to line up that one big crit shot. Tbh, I think Gunslinger is in a pretty good place right now. Having said that, if they were to add a firefly effect for getting crits with GG then I'd be more than cool with that. Oh, and that thing where I go to throw my knife and instead I lunge forward to embrace the Praxic fire needs to change. It's super annoying but that problem applies to several Hunter classes/subclasses and also applies to the new Solar Titan rather than just Gunslinger.

1 ReplyIf you think 6 instant one shots with infinite range and ridiculous aim assist is bad, you’re bad.
-
1 ReplyYou’re like barley positive! https://destinytracker.com/d2/profile/xbl/KillerJA3-4Life It’s not the game or hunters that are bad, sadly it’s you.

1 ReplyA good player is lethal with GG
-
People really talking about this magic high aim assist that is not true. when other supers have huge domes that hit around corners and tracking which spawns more AOE tracking lmao
-
1 ReplyIt’s fine. It’s just beat by every other hunter super.
-
2 RepliesI would like the old combustion from d1 back but they baked that into the celestial helmet lol. Otherwise it seems fine. Celestial makes it the hardest hitting super for instant damage period. And you get the super back via precision damage.
-
5 RepliesPin point accuracy made me laugh. That thing is like an aim bot you can’t miss.
-
“Pinpoint accuracy” lmao

For PvE and regular PvP its fine. When I used it in Mayhem, it sucks that the 3 shot version cant one shot someone out of a Super. And, thats why every one used Blade Barrage....
-
It’s fine

1 ReplyAll of the hunter supers are trash in PvE. In PvP, they're decent at best. I'm sick and tired of hunters being so weak in PvE though and also tired of ppl saying that with the proper or better exotics they're just fine. IF YOU HAVE TO USE EXOTICS TO MAKE A SUPER POWERFUL AND RELEVANT THAT'S A CLEAR SIGN THAT THE SUPER IS IN NEED OF WORK. Has ANYONE ever used Golden Gun without Celestial? It does pitiful damage even with crit shots. Also, I'd rather use top tree goldie cuz it's more fun but that's even weaker than bottom tree. Have you ever used Arcstrider without Raiden Flux? The super doesn't last long enough and the damage is, once again, pathetic. Hmm...there's a pattern here...short duration and not enough damage. Don't even get me started on the Nightstalker. The bottom tree has absolutely no purpose other than to make you wonder what the hell the devs were thinking and the top tree is only useful when using Orpheus Rigs. Ever used top tree NS without the rigs? ABSOLUTELY USELESS. NOT ENOUGH OF A BENEFIT FOR YOU OR YOUR FIRE TEAM. Exotics should complement your build, not be the end all be all or else the build is useless. Super enhancing exotics should only be an option, not a necessity in order to make a super "functional". Supers should be powerful without exotics and even more powerful if you decide to use exotics. The only hunter super worth a damn without an exotic is Blade Barrage. Even if you don't get super energy back with Galanor it's still very powerful and useful in those moments when you really need it. Spectral Blades are 50/50 in PvE and PvP. Not too good, not too bad. Baton twirl Arcstrider has the same issues as the regular Arcstrider. Something needs to be done to make hunter supers more powerful in PvE. I guess some could use work in PvP as well, but for the most part, they do alright in there.

4 RepliesWell, who's to say it's bad. Obviously in pve pretty much everything needs some help, but in PvP, all of its deficits pretty much don't even matter. People try to play gunslinger like a sunbreaker despite the range it has and honestly I never understood that. It's designed more to keep its distance but people always run in with it only to blame their death on the lack of armor. It has a lot of potential in crucible and that's more visible on pc when you get crazy with it. I don't like talking about youtubers, but a good example would be bakengangsta. His accuracy makes him look like he has aimbot on and despite people calling it bad, he tears players up with it. This is a very high skill ceiling super to use. It's not just something you can pick up and destroy with and people don't like that. But, the players who do get good with it can be crazy as that range has no equal. It's more successful in specific situations.
-
Imo it needs some better exotics and at least an overshield to bring it up to par. Rn you can meme it a little by putting on Nighthawk after you pop your 6-shooter, and it’ll give you the energy back on kills, having a non-glitch exotic for this purpose would be great. Something that would grand Triple Tap ont something similar for Precision gunslinger would also be hella useful.
-
Basically has auto aim with 1 shot potential to anything and has infinite range and 0 damage fall off. Quit crying.
-
Yeah PvP it’s alright. I use the 6 shooter, one for regular Guardians and two shots for a super. Works fine for me. The only time I don’t get three or more kills is when I’m an idiot and pop it when I’m not near people.
