I think it's only fair that all straight romances be taken out of movies as well, we wouldn't want those forced upon people who--despite "not being heterophobic"--feel like straight romances are being forced in a movie.

Me and my friends make gay jokes and make fun of gay people and stuff, however we are very understanding if one of OUR friends are gay and we wouldn’t judge them if they were. I’m fine with gay anything as long as it’s not forced for a political agenda.

2 RepliesIf I don't want to go to a movie involving homosexual actions, I won't go. If you don't want to go to a movie involving heterosexual actions, don't. Though I will warn you, most movies have heterosexual romances, but don't worry, it won't be like that for long. When it gets to that point, I will just refrain from seeing movies.

1 ReplyI'm okay with gay relationships in movies. It's fine if it's mentioned once or twice just to establish a character as LGBTQ+ because it establishes that it's just as normal as a straight relationship. But, if the movie beats you over the head with it, it feels like one of two things: either it feels like it's different to be LGBTQ+ because it needs to be mentioned so much, or it feels like the studio is saying "HEY LOOK AT US AND HOW PROGRESSIVE WE ARE GIVE US MONEY."

1 ReplyKey word here....forced If any relationship needs to be forced in a movie, whether it be gay or straight, is not a movie you want to see.
-
I’m indifferent. What’s funny though is when I read the cast list the live action Kim possible movie, on the list it said gay dad 1, and gay dad 2.... at least give them names!
-
<I don't like romance in general so... I'm fine with that.>
-
... Well for 1, if a romance is forced in a movie, it generally sucks, 2. From a marketing standpoint, it's not wise to cater to such a small audience...
not included in the DLC
-
The key is forced. If one of the characters just randomly decided "oh whelp now I'm gay for some reason" then it just feels like the director is trying to check off a box on his to do list.

1 ReplySure if you want to be against nature and ignore the fact that most humans are straight because that's what nature intends.
-
13 RepliesSorry, i don't want to see 2 guys kissing each other.
-
I’m still confused as to what “forced” means to such people. I feel like I’ve never heard of a gay relationship in media that wasn’t considered “forced”.
-
"Straight romances" "Being forced" Unless the relationship itself is forced, there is no way simply being straight is forced anywhere, not when majority of population is how nature intended
-
1 ReplyDude, I could give two shits if any media chooses to display a homo relationship. My problem lies with the ones that are shown poorly, which, unfortunately, tends to be the majority of them
-
How about instead of removing everything to the point where we're in literal NPC land, we just don't watch things we don't like? Not everything has to be banned. Grow up.

8 RepliesNo? 96.2% hetero $$$ > 3.8% homo $$$ Hetero is the dominating sexual culture. Do you really think its good business sense to unnaturally placate less than 3.8% of the potential gay viewing public?
-
If it adds to the story or makes sense if it’s in there then I’m fine with it. What is annoying is when people give people sexualities when it makes no sense to do so.
-
I think of it fits into story line, or if it is based on book, then to me it doesn't matter if gay/straight relationship in movie.
-
6 RepliesI don’t think people are against gay relationships.they are against straight characters being changed into gay one to virtue signal. Or sexualizing characters that have no defined sexuality. If they made a halo movie they would try to make the chief like James Bond.
-
I agree, having any form of romance hijack an unrelated plot is bad writing.

I think you are thinking about it wrong...
If not, please don't tell me you actually think this.
