Sure, there's generally two parts of the game. Your actual aim, and you awareness/ radar tracking/ prediction. You really need one or the other to be average, but with both you can be perfect. I'm one of the people who are really only very good at the second one. My aim is nothing great any enemy doing a basic strafe will stop me 3 tapping with Luna's. But the fact that I am great at predicting the enemies actions and knowing where they are based on radar help me not need to have perfect aim to win. My prediction and ability to know exact locations from radar make great callouts in comp, so I can tell my team a sniper is trying to lane us, and that we should kill the shotgunner coming to flank us.

Edited by Hexi: 12/10/2018 8:13:16 AMPlay. Play lots and lots. You have to understand that Destiny is a new game and most of the good players have been playing FPS games for years, some decades. Yes there are game-specific things you can do, but FPS experience is the only thing that differentiates good players from bad ones. You can't teach that, you can't watch a video and learn it. You just "get" it at some point when you play enough. I've mostly played MMOs (like WoW) and strategy games (like Civ) for the past 20 years and I can jump into any game of these genres and instantly be a top tier player. FPS games tho, not so much. Mastery comes from repetition.

1. Play the objective 2. Change your gear with regard to the map 3. Stick with your teammates 4. Especially in comp using shotgun is a necessity
-
Get a shotgun or the telesto and run around in groups or camp around corners.
-
Play a different game.

1. Don't run in straight lines. 2. Don't use Ikelos. 3. Try to stick with the same loadout almost constantly. 4. Strafe when using your primary. 5. When playing shotty if you need to bait corners and angles. 6. Use the appropriate gun for the appropriate engagement. 7. Aim for the head ALWAYS if using a primary. 8. Gain radar and map awareness, make sure to position yourself in good angles. 9. Make sure to have your teammates angle ALWAYS. 10. Don't bait your teammate like ever. Just a few.

1 ReplyYour best bet is to try to git gud at being farmed.😯 It takes skill to find creative ways to get yourself killed.😲

Find your play style/weapons that you like. Then try to get good rolls on those weapons and then armor perks that build on that setup. Try to have a balanced setup. To fight close range and long range.

Stick to the meta, if you are awful at being aggressive then use telesto. Stick to solo play (outside of comp) instead of having good teammates which can mislead you to think you are getting better. If on console, have a tv with less than 25ms input lag. Totally just my opinion/preference but i feel 5-6 mobility/7-8 resilience/4-5 recovery is the best mod setup (no super mods). I have 2.52 KaD.

Edited by Chains: 12/10/2018 3:18:10 AMAlways pay attention to where your team is and where the enemy team is, if your teammate dies pay attention where they died and what they got killed by. And sound whore to hear what direction people are running and shooting. I consider myself above average and awareness is one of the thins that I realise most destiny players lack on

Here’s a tip: git gud.
jk but what i would recommend is going in with at least one other player in your fireteam so you can stick together and make call outs and so on.
Know your surroundings (map awareness) Choose your engagements wisely Use what you’re comfortable with
