Fix the forge (Not about power level)

The forge has many glaring problems, the first being that you have to travel to it on foot every time to start it instead of being able to select it in orbit. Second, because of this you have to go back to the edz anytime you want to stop queuing to pickup a team mate, which is more loading. Third, the projectiles in the forge have a glitch where they don't let you pick them up or don't show that you can pick them up. There is also a bug where they will bounce off when there thrown in the middle. Also, why does there have to be a time limit on everything, an activity can still be challenging when your not up against the clock. And, please stop doing time gated quests, waiting is not a fun activity that you want to do with friends. We are not clash of clans.

    Glitches are a thing with games; Bungie has a talent for glitches that screw the player but it's not really surprising that new things have new glitches. On the other hand, the timer comes down to the fact that Bungie only has two primary difficulty concepts: time limits and level penalties.* The fact that timed missions are only slightly more warmly received than escort missions has not yet penetrated the Bungie design school. * Symbol matching could be considered their third I suppose.

      it's not a bug when you throw them to the middle and they bounce off....if you pay attention - the balls will bounce off if they hit the metal "wings" that protrude from the sides. the ball can't hit those it has to hit the center part of the forge. on another note how dare bungie force you to go out into the world in order to cue for something - damn them! finally...the timer makes it challenging - it would be a cake walk without it

      • The area is too small for the amount of adds. Once you die, you get spawn killed by spawning near or even among the adds. I don't know what the solution to that would be.

        • I agree & I’ll add my 2 cents in. They need to adjust the ammo economy plan & simple. What good are guns w/out ammo🙄. If this is going to continue then please give me the ability to at least swing the gun at them when I’m out of ammo.

            Agreed on the timer thing. I'm so tired with timers being part of EVERY survival mode Bungie comes up with. I want a more classic survival mode. Try to do the objective, each member has 3 lives. Do the objective or die. Adds get more powerful as you die. (Better enemies. NOT just increases in LL) Boss at the end also scales in ability (as in, actual different abilities to use) the more times you died throughout the activity. Every tier you clear adds one life to your lives. This cannot exceed 3 at any time. OR, the Halo Firefight approach, where you have all your lives in a big pool. Those trickle down as you die.

              Please, for the luvva Mike, fix the glitched battery pick up at least. Or if it’s some mechanic that decides when you can pick one up, explain it.

              • A timer is always an indication of a team that isn't creative or skilled enough to develop a hard mode properly. Same thing goes with power level. It's lazy development.

                  Having to travel fits in with the others though like the blind well and escalation protocols. As for the rest I can agree on.

                  The walk to matchmaking is confusing. Why would they ever do that? The only thing I can think is that it was originally planned to be like D1 Forge or Blind Well. But they got tired of being criticized for having an area you have to slow walk into to try to find people. Then they couldn’t figure out how to fly directly into it and remove the walk so you get half of one and half of the other.

                    I may be wrong, but I don't think the projectiles bouncing off of the forge is a glitch. I think in round 2 the scoring area gets smaller. I think the goal area shrinks to the top and between the 3 arms that stick out (the things they bounce off of). I haven't played it enough to confirm that or not. The rest I pretty much agree with.

                    • I agree with everything, accept the time limit. Thats what raids are for, the time limit makes you be more organized and strategical.
