Willing to do every possible milestone on all 3 characters, and saved up some bounties too, in order to be "raid ready"???
Well, depends on your luck.
My 1st character got 4 arms in a row and half the powerups were useless. My 2nd character? first 6 drops were weapons lower than existing weapons.
Not cool.

I agree, everything in this game is completely down to luck, not skill or accomplishment, just plain old luck.
-
2 RepliesMeh, it’s only for a triumph and a $200 raid jacket (in gray this time). It’s pretty clear that no one can be “raid ready” until at least a week after launch. It’s a shame considering I’ve been prepared for every raid except up to Last Wish
-
Yeah in the olden days you could get raid ready by the time it drops, now we don’t even get one week

I will now quote a guardian on this forum. This individual knows who they are. Twas 5 days before the Dawning And all through the Tower Every Guardian was stirring To increase their Power The objectives were played And completed with care In hopes that in the Forge Rewards would lie there But the Guardians had to work And shoot Cabal on the field The timer ran out Forcing them to yield The Casuals were angry They had to work harder They envied the Hardcores And called each of them a D*** Rider Then the Hardcores laughed And called the casuals bad So during this forum war Everyone got mad The Casuals demanded Bungie: “Make it easier! We want to play!” While the Hardcores said: “Don’t let it be done in a day!” While the trolls saw this They came from down low To once again insult The Community Manager Cozmo Twas a dark time in the forums And a salty first day Wait, the Dawning? Eva Levante? She’s coming to the Tower With cookies made with bliss And all free of charge Take that, Tess Everis!

Another world's first favored to streamers who play it for a living. It all bull****.

Honestly who cares about being raid ready in the first week? Only streamers. I personally don't fancy spending 12 hours trying to get through a mission. Just play it in your own time when you're ready, forget about everyone else.
-
3 RepliesI got three arms and two legs, I don't know why I bother playing anymore.

RNG...AND gaming the progression system by hoarding bounties and finding exploits. Lono (Say No To Rage) called Bungie out on this yesterday. He said that the raid---and World's First---isn't about hardcore gamers. Its about streamers and content-creators. Because no one else has the time to play the insane amount of hours necessary to play, or the know-how to wrench the levelling up from the game that's needed to succeed. In short. Releasing the raid at this point is really just a marketing exercise.

I've just accepted that I'm never gonna beat a raid in the week it releases as since warmind the light level required has been ridiculous for non streamers to reach

3 RepliesThe crucible technically has an infinite supply of powerful gear, from resetting your rank or ranking up in glory. My only advice if you did everything else so far.
-
4 RepliesIsn't the raid like 640 light or something? Is anyone actually over 610 yet?
-
2 Replies1st day of the raid is always 100% catered to the no-life streamers. They're the only ones without actual jobs or responsibility who can afford to spend 19 hours straight playing a video game.
-
I think it should.

3 RepliesLight level is probably the dumbest thing to hedge your bets on as a progression reward. Especially in an action game. It can be one, but being so important is the issue. Players just playing the game should be able to max level. End of. Instead the big reward should be giving players better means of optimizing their character through gear. I get the feeling that if they didn't piss time away on where light level should be they could actually develop more interesting progression into the game. You know like raid gear that is worth getting and a challenge making it impressive or something.
