When is Riven cheese getting patched?
I have an insane amount of fun doing this raid. It is one of the most fun raids bungie has ever created next to VOG and Croata. However when we get to riven no one even knows how to do it the right way and just wants to one phase cheese. It is infuriating because these noobs who can’t figure out a simple raid encounter ruin it for everyone else who actually wants to have fun doing a raid encounter the way it was intended. All I’m saying is the raid would be SO much better without that cheese in place. And before you say “it isn’t a cheese it’s the buffs and massive dps”. Lol I’m pretty sure Atheon wasn’t supposed to be pushed off using grenades but that wasn’t a strategy it was a cheese....

From all I've seen from Bungie - it isn't getting patched. It's a strategy, not a glitch or exploit. There have been many issues with the raids that Bungie never addressed. They were either too tricky to fix or just not worth the effort with all the work going on with making new content (because you know....it's hard).

3 RepliesAt least you can do the raid. My practically dead clan can’t amass the required number of people to even attempt it. Can’t LFG because I don’t have any experience plus all LFGs are looking to be carried anyway.

Atheon was patches fairly quickly. This isn’t a cheese and won’t be changed and for good measure, why waste my time with idiots when i’m not going to get 1k voices anyway. anyone can do cluster strat

If it is ever going to be changed, it would be removing said mechanic of which is recoding that encounter. So it would take some time if they even want to do it. It is cheesing it, for sure.. but it is not breaking the game or cheating. It is a flaw in the design that allows all players to go to one room and do the dps. It is a legit stat due to the design.
