I think Uldren as a Guardian will be great. He is sarcastic, cocky, and was the most dangerous man in the system before Guardians were widely known. Give a man who had the skills to survive the reef and fight the vex on Mars without light and revives some power. Let's see what happens.

18 RepliesJust to be clear, I want to understand why everyone thinks Uldren would be the Hunter Vanguard? Don’t get me wrong, I understand completely what the terms of Cayde’s Dare: “You are a Hunter who killed me, therefore you are the Vanguard.” I see some big problems with Uldren becoming Vanguard. 1). By the Player killing Uldren, we gained all rights to Cayde’s Will. The Dare was tied to this very Will, meaning that Uldren should’ve lost any rights to the Vanguard. 2). The terms of the Dare was that you had to be a Hunter who killed Cayde. There is already a problem with this: Uldren wasn’t a Hunter when he killed Cayde. Let alone a Guardian. 3). Do you people honestly think it’s ok to stick a guy who just wakes up from being dead with no memory of the world or experiences and put them into a leadership role? Putting Uldren into the position of Vanguard would basically be the same as putting a toddler into the position of General. Let’s not forget that he murdered a well respected Hunter and friend of many. Key word here is “Hunter.” As in the Class that is known to hold grudges and takes death among their ranks far more seriously than the others.

14 RepliesWhats more annoying is Bungie undermine everything you did on forsaken (The death was clearly for shock value and Bungie went against the voice actors wishes to kill him off) s you will have to work woth a character who the communituy dosent like and killed the only relatable character. What were not supposed to hold him against the sins of his past...imagine if hitler was in the same boat we wouldnt forgive him...fft thats stupid.

Keep in mind: this might not be the Uldren we know. Uldren may have the same body, but not the same memories, he may not even know his name is Uldren.

6 RepliesAhamkara are capable of mind control. The deeper the desire, the more susceptible the subject. Watch the cutscenes where Uldren shoots Cayde again. Listen closely. You can hear Riven's voice speaking as he does. She was controlling him. His love for his sister made him vulnerable. Even Riven called him a fool- because she fooled him so well. It doesn't excuse what he did. It just makes it more pathetic.
