A titan using Weapons of Light has to hold the shield up and literally is unable to deal damage while using it, the damage buff you gain from it should be significantly increased.
Weapons of light gives a 25% boost to damage going through it. Simple math shows that even in 6-man content this leads to total damage being increased by only 4%
Compare this to well of radiance, which gives a 35% damage boost and allows the warlock to continue dealing damage while the well is up.
Since Weapons of Light requires the titan to remove themselves from dealing damage, the damage boost it provides should be much more than 25%.

It is still a buff, don’t ask for such stuff, you’re wasting your time, they just nerfed ep shottie

I agree 100% it should be near what WoR does especially since it doesnt last nearly as long as WoR which is close to 30 seconds

1 ReplyEdited by Bdog 588: 11/28/2018 8:03:24 PMWoL? Wall of Light? Idk. I get what you are saying about the damage buff but what is WoL? Edit. I entirely missed the Weapons of Light section of your post. Still, more dmg when active is generally agreeable.

I see what you're saying here, but if the boss is putting out threatening damage, I suppose having a shield and a bit of a buff is a nice deal.

17 RepliesExcept you can still use a roaming super. Code of the Commander is mainly for blocking damage. You can't have everything

It also means that portion is only viable in the raid and its barely viable. Also empowering rift is the same has a super. Why is that okay? "BuT bAnNeR sHiElD pRoTeCtS yOu FrOm DaMaGe". The only raid boss that spits out any kind of lethal damage is morgeth and well of radiance handles that just fine.

1 ReplyDoes it stack with well of radiance is the real question

It's a wasted part of the talent. The only good part of banner shield is in pvp the increases size allows you to tank things like rockets and blade barrage, as it also blocks the splash damage (provided nothing lands behind you). WOL either needs a significant buff. Or be put back onto ward of dawn like it was in d1. Right now it's an absolute wasted perk.

It's not as powerful to counter the fact that you can drop it at any point and go ham.

5 RepliesEdited by amandajc808: 11/26/2018 12:32:20 PMI agree it's a half arsed attempt to incorporate defender features into the sub class. They should either just go back to defender D1 or stop trying to incorporate it into the sheild sub class, tbh I would be happier having defender back with some up to date perks such as allowing us to shoot through the bubble and be immune to ground stomp.

Banner Shield should just be deployable frontal cover. If they changed it that way, the Titan could do damage with everyone. It stacks with Well of Radiance, so you'd drop Well and then have the Titan place Banner Shield in front and go to town. Another note, void wall grenade should be replaced with a weaker shield throw for all Void Titans.

You have to remember that sentinal also has the entire "sentinal shield" part of the super, it makes a wall, it can be used offensively as one of the best supers in the game, AND blocks with a damage boost, as the bubble tree showed us it seems like sentinal tree is about versatility. While this feature is not that great you have to remember the other things that super and class as a whole can do. Dropping a well is a bubble without the walls. Insane for Pve, but man you go In crucible one guy with a shotgun ends it, or one phalanx
