Hand canon headshots impossible against sniping shotgun meta
Seriously, I've made it to fabled and because Bungie think that's not enough, I've got to try to hammer out 100 headshot kills when everyone else has their Luna's howl on small maps running dust rock blues with a range stat that's higher then the -blam!-ing impact stat?
Bungie what went through your heads when you decided that not only is a special weapon meta healthy for the game but giving shotguns such high range? Aren't they supposed to be a high risk/reward weapon? Cause they aren't, so while I need hand canon kills before next freaking reset or you'll wipe the progress that I've made fair and square on the hardest step of the quest, everyone and their dog gets to snipe me with shotguns around corners and from ranges that aren't fair and shouldn't be possible because you thought that this would be fair and fun... Thanks again bungo, you've ruined competitive by taking away skill.

I have been getting some success with masterworked crimson. I am probably going to have to focus on kills only, even if it makes my rank negative.

1 ReplyKind of shot yourself in the foot doing it that way around. I just worked through the quest completely solo not worrying about winning, by the time i had all the head shots done I was sitting around 900 points.

says it's impossible, goes on to complain about the abundance of people who already have done it shooting him with the weapon that is impossible to get........ stupid much? or just unwilling to admit you suck?

I got mine, just keep at it. I used an ace and trust pretty effectively.

1 ReplyI was having hard time too. I tried using Ace of Spades , Trust and ohter forsaken hand cannons and was not getting any success. Then I used Dire Promise to finish it. For some reason Dire Promise has high Headshot chance. I shoot a guy from far in his body and it give s a headshot

16 RepliesShotguns are a problem but not necessarily in the way people think. Its because people have had to use shotguns so much this season that their spatial reasoning is all -blam!-ed up. So you are probably trying to kill people with a handcannon while in shotgun range because you are so used to playing in shotgun range because all the damn shotguneering we've had to do this season. One of the reasons Luna makes so many people angry is that if you stay just outside of shotgun range its one of the few weapons that can kill fast enough that the idiot with the shotgun can't get to you in time. But the thing about Luna is its effective range is just outside of shotgun range and not much more so you get used to keeping people at that distance and it really does become almost like a 6th sense where you are constantly putting yourself in a position to take out shotgun idiots. Once you get it you will definitely die to shotgus way less. Did I mention... shotguns? Oh one other thing. You seem like you are still playing to win. Only focus on headshots and don't even pay attention to the score. They really should not have made it so it had to be percision kills and just kills instead.

Put on the sturm (or any 110 RoF if you don't have the catalyst) and try to stick to one of the dudes on your team, use him to block the shotgunners, and steal his kills with your 92 damage headshots. It doesn't matter if you're making your team lose as you're already at fabled and you are out of time. So just go gung ho as -blam!- for those headshots and like I said hide behind a teammate so he is the one that gets shotgunned.

5 Repliesi did it like 7 games using nature of the beast from y1. you have to play more passively and cherry pick your teammates’ kills a bit but it is very doable, especially for a good player like yourself.

5 RepliesAll you can do is keep trying to get those headshots. Try out the different hand cannons. Clash and control are your only friends now. I did the quest steps first, and for the headshot part, was around 900 glory. No lunas to deal with around that level. It will feel long and painful as it's your last bit to do, but keep at it. 1 or 10 headshots per game is still progress.
